Made contact shortly after start, raced better than midfield on the middle track in the early stages, peaked on run approaching 500M, weakened thereafter.

Incident Report
Between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres was held up for clear running. After the 300 Metres was shifted to the outside of MULTISUPERSTAR when there was not sufficient room to do so, resulting in BIG RETURN making contact with LUCKY YEAR for some distance near the 250 Metres. A Badel stated that he was given no specific instructions where to settle the horse but the emphasis was to ensure the horse relaxed during the race. He said from his wide barrier, although the pace of the event was run outside of standard time, he was able to relax the horse during the race by settling in a position behind midfield. A Badel pleaded guilty to a careless riding charge for causing interference approaching the 250 Metres (see KYRUS TREASURE). Sent for sampling post-race.

Jumped only fairly, raced slightly behind midfield on the stands' side, inconvenienced near 650M, 3 to 4 lengths back at 400M, kept on one-paced to the line.

Throughout the early stages raced keenly and got its head up. Raced wide and without cover from the 900 Metres. Sent for sampling post-race.

Made contact shortly after start, positioned 2 to 3 lengths behind the leader in the middle of the track, finished off well to take 2nd without threatening the winner.

Bumped and unbalanced shortly after start, raced at rear throughout, never a factor.

Bumped on jumping, raced in midfield on the stands' rail, 2 to 3 lengths back at 400M, kept on evenly to take a place, no threat to the first two.

Shifted out at the start and was bumped. Between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres was held up for clear running behind SUPER SICARIO.

Made contact shortly after start, raced better than midfield, 2 away from the stands' rail, dropped to midfield in the middle stages, hard ridden after passing 400M but showed no response, weakened thereafter.

H Bowman stated that his instructions were to go forward. He said when the horse did not show sufficient pace to do so he elected to restrain his mount in the early stages to obtain a position with cover towards the rear of the field.

Jumped well, raced prominently on the stands' side, 3/4L back at 400M, took the lead approaching final 100M, kept on well to the line and scored.

Jumped only fairly and then shortly after the start became unbalanced when bumped by SMILING FALCON which shifted out. Between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres was held up for clear running. After being shifted to the inside of SMILING FALCON near the 300 Metres then became held up for clear running behind SUPER SICARIO near the 200 Metres when that runner commenced to give ground. As a result FLYING AMANI did not obtain clear running between the 200 Metres and the 100 Metres.

Moderately away from gate 1, showed good speed to take the lead on the far side, led by 3/4L at 400M, peaked and headed approaching 100M, weakened thereafter. (See Racing Incidents.) (Bled.)

Incident Report
Shortly after the start was crowded between FLYING AMANI and KYRUS TREASURE which shifted in slightly. A Atzeni was fined the sum of $5,000 in relation to using his whip in a manner where the hand holding the whip was above shoulder height on one occasion near the 350 Metres.

Made contact shortly after start, raced in 3rd, 2-3/4L back at 400M, hard ridden after passing 400M but only showed limited response, weakened final furlong.

Bumped shortly after the start. M F Poon stated that after having difficulty obtaining clear running in the early stages of the Home Straight his mount was then badly hampered when crowded by BIG RETURN which shifted out near the 250 Metres. He said as a consequence his mount finished the race off in a one-paced manner thereafter. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be lame in its left front leg. Before being allowed to race again, LUCKY YEAR will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Began awkwardly and bumped, raced behind midfield on the middle track, hard ridden approaching 300M, kept on same pace to the line.

Bumped shortly after the start. Leaving the 100 Metres made contact with DERRYNBLUE. C L Chau stated that the instructions were to hold a more forward position than its previous race starts. He said in the Home Straight MULTISUPERSTAR did not finish the race off when placed under pressure. Trainer A S Cruz confirmed the instructions issued and stated that the horse may not have been suited by being ridden in this manner. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Jumped with them, raced behind midfield, nearer to the middle track, failed to make any progress final 400M.

Incident Report
Raced ungenerously in the early stages when being ridden forward to lead. E C W Wong reported that he was able to obtain the lead in the early stages and set a moderate pace outside of standard time. He said in the Home Straight he had expected SUPER SICARIO would respond to his riding given the pace it travelled in the early stages, however, his mount was disappointing in its failure to respond to his riding. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Bumped start, raced towards rear on the stands' side, made no impression final 400M.

Incident Report
Leaving the 100 Metres made contact with MULTISUPERSTAR. Over the concluding stages was steadied to avoid FLYING AMANI (B Avdulla) which shifted out. B Avdulla was advised to exercise more care.

Crowded shortly after start, positioned 3 lengths behind the leader on the middle track, made no progress final 400M. (See Racing Incidents.)

Incident Report
Had its right hind plate adjusted in the saddling stalls, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race. Shifted in on jumping and was bumped shortly after the start. Leaving the 600 Metres was steadied to avoid LUCKY YEAR when it commenced to race keenly. A Badel (BIG RETURN) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that near the 300 Metres his mount improved into a run between MULTISUPERSTAR and LUCKY YEAR where there was not sufficient room to do so, resulting in BIG RETURN making contact with LUCKY YEAR. Then a short distance later he allowed his mount to shift out when not clear of LUCKY YEAR, resulting in LUCKY YEAR being taken out across the running of KYRUS TREASURE, resulting in KYRUS TREASURE being checked approaching the 250 Metres. A Badel was suspended from riding in races for a period to commence on Wednesday, 15 April 2026 and to expire on Monday, 20 April 2026 on which day he may resume race riding (2 Hong Kong racedays). In addition Jockey Badel was fined $50,000. In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 2 and the consequences grade 2 and also considered his neutral race riding record.
