Made contact at start, taken back to race towards rear on the outside, 5 lengths or so back, angled out 450M, made some progress in straight. (See Racing Incidents.)

Incident Report
Slow to begin.
Bumped on jumping, raced 2 wide better than midfield, 3 wide turning in, finished off strongly, just beaten by a neck.
Incident Report
Jumped only fairly. From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Between the 450 Metres and the 350 Metres was held up for clear running. After obtaining clear running after the 350 Metres again had difficulty obtaining clear running approaching the 200 Metres when held up behind NYX GLUCK.
Clean jump, raced prominently on the inside, travelled well to turn, took the lead early in straight, kept on well but unable to hold off the first few on line.
Incident Report
Jumped awkwardly. Raced keenly in the middle stages. Z Purton stated that the horse may not have run out a strong 1400 Metres. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea and also found the horse to have a respiratory condition which requires further assessment. Before being allowed to race again, SOLID CAR will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Sent for sampling post-race. <22/4/2026 14 February 2026 Sha Tin Racemeeting – Race 8 (441)> A further assessment of the respiratory condition did not reveal any significant findings.
Jumped with them, raced 3 wide, 1-1/2L back, 2 wide from 700M, same margin back turning in, peaked early in straight, weakened final furlong. (See Racing Incidents.)
Incident Report
Bumped near the 400 Metres. K Teetan reported that his mount may not have run out the 1400 Metres of today’s race. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Taken back from a wide draw, raced at rear on the inside, saved ground on turn, failed to make any progress in straight. (Bled.) (Roarer.)
Incident Report
C Y Ho reported that his mount travelled satisfactorily behind midfield in the early stages. He said making the turn after the 900 Metres DECISION LINK came under pressure and as a result drifted back in the field. He added in the Home Straight DECISION LINK finished the race off only fairly.
Away with them, positioned 2 wide, 4 lengths or so back, there to turn, made minor progress early in straight, no extra final 150M.
Incident Report
Jumped only fairly. J Orman advised that he had been instructed to ride the horse in a conservative manner in the early stages to attempt to have the horse finish its race off as it had been racing in a disappointing manner at its previous race starts. He said shortly after the start he endeavoured to steady his mount to obtain a position with cover. He added when racing tight to the inside of GENIUS BABY (K Teetan), STARRY SHOW got its head up when he was obliged to ease his mount. K Teetan was advised to exercise more care. Again near the 1200 Metres got its head up and refused to settle when racing behind ALWAYS FLUKE.
Out with rest, sent forward to race prominently on the outside, took the lead near 950M, shared lead with rival turning in, peaked and headed early in straight, weakened final furlong.
Incident Report
Noted to have blood in the mouth on arrival at the Start, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race. When questioned Y L Chung stated that the instructions were to settle the horse back in the field from its wide barrier and to ensure that he improved to the outside in the Home Straight as MULTISUPERSTAR had been held up at its first race start when positioned to the inside. He said after following STARRY SHOW throughout the event he elected to shift to that runner’s outside to comply with those instructions, however, when STARRY SHOW shifted out he was held up for clear running behind that horse near the 400 Metres. He added having regard to his instructions he persisted for a run to the outside of STARRY SHOW and after being held up between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres he endeavoured to improve between STARRY SHOW and THE ALL ROUNDER, however, MULTISUPERSTAR lay out and was unable to proceed into that run. He said as a result MULTISUPERSTAR then had difficulty obtaining clear running until near the 100 Metres when he shifted to the inside of STARRY SHOW. When questioned as to whether there was an opportunity to shift to the inside of STARRY SHOW near the 400 Metres, Y L Cheung stated that as his instructions were to come to the outside he had not observed this run to be available and therefore did not contemplate taking that position. After considering his explanation the Stewards advised Jockey Chung that whilst he believed his instructions were to come to the outside he should, wherever possible, ensure that he obtains the first run that becomes available, particularly in circumstances when he is experiencing difficulty in obtaining clear running.
Incident Report
Raced keenly in the middle stages.
Shifted out at start and bumped, raced slightly behind midfield on the outside, 4 lengths or so back turning in, made very good progress in straight, just beaten in a ding-dong battle.
Incident Report
Apprentice E C W Wong reported that the intention was to hold a midfield position. He said when his mount was caught wide in the early stages he elected to go forward but was unable to cross runners to his inside which resulted in LEATHER GOODS racing wide and without cover for the majority of the event. He added making the Home Turn LEATHER GOODS dipped its head on a number of occasions and when he was concerned there was something amiss with it he eased it down in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of LEATHER GOODS was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, LEATHER GOODS will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
