Began smartly from gate 1, sent forward to take the lead, led by 1/2L turning in, peaked and headed 300M, weakened inside final furlong.
Bumped on jumping, raced 2 wide better than midfield, 3 wide turning in, finished off strongly, just beaten by a neck.
Made contact with the right side of the starting gate on jumping, taken back to race towards rear on the inside, saved ground on turn, no clear run until approaching final 50M, made no progress thereafter.
Began well, raced better than midfield on the inside, dropped to midfield on turn, showed limited response early in straight, weakened gradually inside final furlong.
Average to begin, taken back to race at tail, commenced move near 1000M, took the lead 850M, led by 1-1/4L turning in, kept on very well in straight, won by 3-1/2L.
Taken back from gate 12, raced at rear on the inside, saved ground on turn, made some progress in straight.

Most DARCI BRAHMA in HK are versatile including winner of G1 Centenary Sprint Cup D B PIN, dirt race specialist PICK NUMBER ONE, National Day Cup champion FULL OF BEAUTY and 2021 BMW Hong Kong Derby hero SKY DARCI. 60 runners of him celebrated the joy of black type contests successes. In 2023, The Oaks Stud announced that DARCI BRAHMA retired from stud duties.GASTRONOMIQUE was sold at NZD$ 40,000 in 2023 NZB Ready To Run Sale where he finished 200M in 10.46s during the breeze up run. He was owned by Price Bloodstock Management Ltd and trained by Ben, Will & JD Hayes in Australia. After a jump-out section, he sat handy early but headed by his stablemate for a 2nd in a 1000M synthetic trial (25th Jun 2024), then took part in 2 jump-out sections after a short break and led all the way to win in the last section. His dam WAIKAHA collected 4 wins up to mile while family member found former Avondale Cup winner HINEPARA that could handle up to 2400M. The bay gelding should be most suited at mile or upper in distance and fine on both turf and dirt.
