Whilst the Stewards were satisfied that the riding of M Guyon, 4th placegetter, over the concluding stages did not affect the horse’s finishing position, he was nonetheless reminded of his obligation to ensure that he fully rides his mounts out to the finish of the race.

Away well, positioned 2 wide, a length or so back, found rail near 550M, 1-1/2L back turning in, kept on evenly in straight.

When questioned C Y Ho stated that the intention was to hold an on-pace position but as the start was effected his mount bounded and as a consequence lost ground and settled further back in the field than intended. He added after following DIRIYA during the race he shifted to that runner’s outside with a view to improving behind AUTUMN VIBES. He said when AUTUMN VIBES then commenced to give ground near the 350 Metres he became held up behind that runner and as a consequence did not obtain clear running until near the 150 Metres when he shifted to the outside of BROWNNEEDSFURTHER.

Began well, raced better than midfield on the inside, dropped to midfield on turn, showed limited response early in straight, weakened gradually inside final furlong.

Out in line, raced 4 wide with cover behind midfield, no cover from 800M, 4 lengths back turning in, finished off well to take a place without threatening.

Leaving the 1000 Metres raced keenly when racing tight between EMBRACE ABERDEEN and LITTLE MONSTER. Near the 600 Metres was steadied away from EMBRACE ABERDEEN. A Atzeni reported that on jumping his mount made contact with the right side of its starting gate and as a consequence lost ground. He said as a result he was unable to hold a forward position as he was instructed. He added that AUTUMN VIBES was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event before giving ground in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. The performance of AUTUMN VIBES was considered disappointing as compared to its most recent starts. Before being allowed to race again, AUTUMN VIBES will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
