Made contact shortly after start, raced 2 wide in midfield early, dropped towards rear after entering the back straight, found rail 750M, angled out 450M, 8Ls back turning in, failed to make any progress in straight.

Out in line, raced 4 wide with cover behind midfield, no cover from 800M, 4 lengths back turning in, finished off well to take a place without threatening.

Near the 850 Metres SUPERB GUY (A Atzeni) shifted in, resulting in JUBILANT WINNER being taken in onto SALUTE KING PRAWN which then shifted in and away from JUBILANT WINNER, crowding the running of TOP PEAK which became unbalanced. A Atzeni was reprimanded. Between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running. Sent for sampling post-race.

On jumping was bumped by KYRUS TREASURE which shifted in. Between the 250 Metres and the 150 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when being shifted to the outside of SUPERB GUY. C L Chau reported that passing the 50 Metres his whip was knocked from his grasp by the whip of R Kingscote, rider of FORTUNE KINGO.

Jumped awkwardly, raced at rear on the outside, 8 lengths or so back turning in, failed to close off in straight. (See Racing Incidents.)

Near the 850 Metres was checked to avoid TOP PEAK. Between the 450 Metres and the 200 Metres was badly held up for clear running.

Away well, trapped wide in midfield early, sent forward after entering the back straight, raced in 2nd, 2 wide in the middle stages, peaked 400M, weakened final 250M.

Jumped only fairly. Lay in in the early stages of the Home Straight and proved difficult to ride. Between the 250 Metres and the 200 Metres was held up for clear running when being shifted to the outside of FLYING KNIGHT. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.

Began only fairly, taken back to race towards rear on the inside, saved ground throughout, 8 lengths or so back turning in, kept to inside after straightening and finished off strongly to take 2nd, no threat to the winner.

Bumped at the start. From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Taken back from gate 9, raced behind midfield, difficult to settle, checked and dropped towards rear near 1350M, raced 3 wide behind midfield in the middle stages, 6 lengths or so back turning in, failed to close off in straight.

Bumped at the start. B Avdulla stated that he was given the option of holding a more forward position and after commencing well he was able to comply with his instructions albeit he had to make some of his mount to do so. He added in the Home Straight when runners improved to his outside JUBILANT WINNER commenced to give ground and did not finish the race off thereafter. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Bumped start, raced at rear, 5 to 6 lengths back turning in, failed to close off in straight.

Began well, raced better than midfield on the inside, dropped to midfield on turn, showed limited response early in straight, weakened gradually inside final furlong.

Fractious in the starting gates, was removed from the starting gates and examined by the Veterinary Officer who said the horse was suitable to race. The barrier manners of SALUTE KING PRAWN were considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, SALUTE KING PRAWN will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. Near the 850 Metres shifted in and away from JUBILANT WINNER despite the efforts of its rider and became unbalanced.

Out with rest, sent forward to take the lead, led by 1-1/2L turning in, kicked clear early in straight, kept on very well to the line, won comfortably.

After the 1100 Metres commenced to race keenly and shifted out when being steadied away from CITY THUNDER. When giving ground near the 250 Metres lay out and was steadied away from FLYING KNIGHT when that runner shifted in slightly. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Bumped start, trapped wide behind midfield, moved closer after passing 1200M, raced 3 wide, 1-1/2L back on turn, peaked early in straight, ran on evenly to the line.

Approaching the 1100 Metres was eased to avoid WUKONG JEWELLERY. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. M Guyon reported that his mount would not respond to his efforts to restrain in the early stages and made the first turn wider before giving ground in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The racing manners and performance of GOOD FORTUNE, which finished tailed out, were considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, GOOD FORTUNE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
