Fast into stride, sent forward to take the lead, travelled well to turn, peaked and headed approaching 150M, weakened final 100M.

Slightly slow out and crowded, raced towards rear on the inside, angled out after passing 700M, 5 lengths back turning in, made no impression in straight.

Between the 350 Metres and the 300 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running. Near the 200 Metres was bumped by HONORARY and became unbalanced. Over the final 150 Metres lay in. Sent for sampling post-race.

Bumped start, raced behind midfield on the inside, 5 lengths back turning in, peaked early in straight, weakened 300M, eased final 200M. (Irregular heart rhythm.)

From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. For a short distance near the 400 Metres had some difficulty obtaining clear running.

Began only fairly, raced slightly better than midfield on the inside, 2 wide turning in, no clear run early in straight, cleared 150M but made no progress thereafter.

Between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres was held up for clear running. When being shifted to the outside of HONORARY near the 150 Metres made contact with GLORIOUS ST PAUL’S. J Orman stated that with the horse dropping back in distance he was instructed to hold a midfield position but not to make use of the horse to do so. He said when caught wide in the early stages he elected to obtain a position further back with cover to avoid covering additional ground.

Began only fairly and made contact, raced in 3rd, saved ground throughout, kept on well early in straight, peaked 100M, ran on evenly to the line.

Jumped only fairly. Shortly after the start became unbalanced when crowded between SO MY FOLKS and APOLAR FIGHTER, both of which shifted ground. Near the 200 Metres shifted out and away from DANICA’S CHOICE and made contact with INVICTUS DRAGON.

Taken back from gate 14, raced behind midfield on the outside, moved closer after passing 900M, 2 to 3 lengths back turning in, peaked early in straight, weakened thereafter.

Shifted out shortly after the start and made contact with HONORARY. B Avdulla reported that his instructions were to obtain a position with cover behind the lead.

Average to begin, raced 2 wide in midfield, 3 lengths or so back, 3 wide turning in, peaked early in straight, weakened gradually inside final furlong.

Despite being ridden along in the early stages did not show sufficient pace to hold a more forward position. H Bowman stated that, in his opinion, STRATHPEFFER raced "flat” today. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Commenced well, raced better than midfield on the outside, 2 lengths or so back, same margin back on turn, showed limited response early in straight, weakened gradually final 100M. (See Racing Incidents.)

Shifted in shortly after the start and made contact with HONORARY.

Taken back from gate 12, raced towards rear on the outside, 5 lengths back turning in, one-paced in the run home. (See Racing Incidents.)

Shifted out on jumping and made contact with LET’S HAVE FUN. A short distance later GLORIOUS ST PAUL’S was then steadied when crowded between LET’S HAVE FUN and ALWAYS AHEAD. Near the 150 Metres became unbalanced when bumped by THE LION KING, resulting in GLORIOUS ST PAUL’S shifting out and then making contact with LET’S HAVE FUN.

Jumped awkwardly, raced at tail, still last turning in, taken wide in straight and finished off well to be nearest on line.

Incident Report
Crowded on jumping between GLORIOUS ST PAUL’S and DANICA’S CHOICE, both of which shifted ground. In the early stages raced keenly. For some distance near the 1200 Metres got its head up when racing between DANICA’S CHOICE and ALWAYS AHEAD. Bumped near the 150 Metres.

Jumped awkwardly, raced in midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, showed very good response in straight, took the lead approaching 150M, kept on very well to the line, easily scored. (Lost left hind plate.)

Incident Report
On jumping was bumped heavily by RUSSET GLOW when that runner jumped awkwardly and shifted in. As a result DANICA’S CHOICE shifted in and made heavy contact with LET’S HAVE FUN. K Teetan confirmed that he was instructed to go forward on his mount. Trainer B Crawford confirmed the instructions issued.

Began well, raced in 2nd, 2 wide, there to turn, kept on well early in straight, peaked 200M, weakened gradually final 100M.

Incident Report
Jumped awkwardly, shifted in abruptly and made heavy contact with DANICA’S CHOICE. L Hewitson stated that his mount failed to respond strongly to his riding in the Home Straight and might be better suited by being dropped back in distance for its next race start. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Jumped well from a wide draw, taken back to race 2 wide behind midfield, 4-1/2L back turning in, failed to close off in straight. (See Racing Incidents.)

Incident Report
C Y Ho was warned in relation to using his whip on a horse which was clearly out of contention. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Began only fairly, raced 2 wide behind midfield, moved a bit closer after passing 900M, 4 wide turning in, made good progress in straight to take 2nd, no threat to the winner.

Incident Report
When caught wide in the early stages was shifted behind runners. E C W Wong reported that his mount made a respiratory noise during the running of the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of VIEW OF COSMOS, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, VIEW OF COSMOS will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
