Jumped well from gate 9, raced in 2nd, 2 wide, challenged the leader turning in, took the lead 400M, peaked and headed 100M, weakened gradually close home.

Began well from gate 1, raced slightly better than midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, showed limited response early in straight, weakened 200M, eased final 100M.

Between the 400 Metres and the 150 Metres was held up for clear running. When being shifted to the inside of TOURBILLON GOLFER approaching the 150 Metres made contact with ROMANTIC SON. Sent for sampling post-race.

Bumped on jumping, raced at rear on the outside, very wide into straight, made good progress in straight to be nearest on line.

Shifted in at the start and was bumped. Near the 400 Metres and again after the 350 Metres was bumped by CIRCUIT GRAND SLAM.

Moderately away from gate 13, raced behind midfield on the outside, 4 to 5 lengths back turning in, peaked early in straight, weakened final 150M.

Jumped only fairly. From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Approaching the 100 Metres improved into a narrow run between CANDLELIGHT DINNER and CIRCUIT GRAND SLAM and as a result made contact with CANDLELIGHT DINNER near the 50 Metres.

Began only fairly and bumped, raced in midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, showed good response early in straight, peaked on run 100M, weakened gradually close home.

Near the 400 Metres and again passing the 350 Metres made contact with WOLF COMING when attempting to shift to the outside of INFINITE RESOLVE to obtain clear running. As a result CIRCUIT GRAND SLAM had difficulty obtaining clear running between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres. Sent for sampling post-race.

Taken back from the widest draw, raced at rear on the inside, angled out 600M, very wide turning in, made good progress in straight to make frame.

Bumped near the 150 Metres.

Began well, raced 2 wide behind midfield, angled out approaching 500M, no clear run early in straight, blundered badly near 350M, weakened thereafter. (See Racing Incidents.)

Bumped on jumping. Between the 400 Metres and the 250 Metres was held up for clear running.

Began well, raced behind midfield on the inside, angled out approaching 500M, no clear run early in straight, finished off strongly to take 2nd, just beaten by a narrow margin.

Bumped on the hindquarters on jumping. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Began well from a wide draw, raced 3 wide in midfield, no cover in the middle stages, wider turning in, weakened early in straight. (Roarer.) (See Racing Incidents.)

M F Poon stated that after holding a position outside the lead his mount gave ground under pressure in the Home Straight but he could offer no excuse for its disappointing performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported.

Bumped start, raced 2 wide better than midfield early, found rail 900M, 2 wide from 500M, showed good response in straight, hit the front 100M, kept on well to hold off the challengers. (See Racing Incidents.)

Shortly after the start raced tight between YOUNG ARROW and PI LEGEND. From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Shifted in near the 200 Metres and was bumped.

Moderately away, sent forward to take the lead, travelled well to turn, peaked and headed 400M, weakened final 300M. (See Racing Incidents.)

Bumped shortly after the start. Near the 200 Metres was bumped by HEAVING which shifted in. K Teetan reported that his mount raced keenly throughout the early and middle stages and approaching the 600 Metres shifted out when being steadied to avoid M M CONCORD.

Taken back to race towards rear on the outside, very wide turning in, made good progress in straight to take a place, nearest on line.

On jumping became unbalanced when it made contact with CANDLELIGHT DINNER. Near the 150 Metres was eased when crowded between YOUNG ARROW and QUARTZ LEGEND which shifted out. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
