Began smartly, raced in 2nd, travelled well to turn, took the lead early in straight, kept on well to the line and scored.

Shifted out at the start and was bumped. Held up for clear running between the 300 Metres and the 200 Metres. Sent for sampling post-race.

Average to begin, sent forward to take the lead, led by 1/2L turning in, challenged by rival early in straight, headed 300M, kept on well, lost 2nd close home.

Jumped with them, raced behind midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, showed limited response early in straight, kept on same pace to the line.

Over the final 300 Metres was held up for clear running behind PACKING HERMOD.

Moderately away from gate 1, raced in midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, peaked early in straight, ran on evenly to the line.

Jumped awkwardly and lost ground. Approaching the 200 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when endeavouring to improve between PRAY FOR MIR and MY WISH. When MY WISH (L Ferraris) then shifted in, LIGHT YEARS CHARM was steadied when disappointed for clear running passing the 200 Metres. L Ferraris was advised to exercise more care.

Between the 400 Metres and the 200 Metres was held up for clear running. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Shifted out at start, unable to slot in, raced slightly better than midfield on outer, 3 lengths back turning in, peaked early in straight, weakened final furlong. (See Racing Incidents.)

After the event C L Chau reported that the instructions were to hold an on-pace position. He said with blinkers being removed today VICTOR THE WINNER did not show sufficient pace to do so despite his urgings in the early stages. He added that when caught wide he was then obliged to come back to find a position with cover.

Over the final 150 Metres could not be fully ridden out when racing in restricted room between JOHANNES BRAHMS and PATCH OF THETA.
