Jumped only fairly. Approaching the 150 Metres was steadied when disappointed for clear running between FASHION LEGEND and CHILL KAKA. As a result KING OF SELECTION was held up for clear running between the 150 Metres and the 100 Metres.

Y L Chung stated that the instructions were to hold an on-pace position preferably with cover. He said in the early stages he was obliged to continue forward to cross runners to his inside and to avoid covering additional ground which resulted in his mount settling outside the lead.

Taken back to race 2 wide at rear, last turning in, made no impression in straight.

Made contact with a rail on the way to the Start, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race. Slow to begin. Approaching the 1500 Metres lay in and became unbalanced when it made contact with the running rail.

Taken back from the widest draw, raced at rear on the outside, 6 to 7 lengths back turning in, made no impression in straight.

K C Leung reported that his mount came under pressure from the 600 Metres and failed to run on thereafter. He added that, in his opinion, the horse may have reached the end of its preparation. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

E C W Wong stated that his mount was disadvantaged by racing wide and without cover for the majority of the event and gave ground when under pressure in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have blood at the right nostril. An endoscopic examination conducted on FOREMOST TEDDY found that there was no blood in its trachea and therefore the blood in the nostril was determined to be not coming from the lungs and as such the horse was deemed not to have bled.
