Ridden early gradually settling some 2L back in 4th over 600M out, commenced move home bend and ran on under pressure for slender advantage inside the 150M, just held on to the line.

Ridden along the rail to be up with the pace before settling one back in 3rd on rail inside the 700M, soon came to tackle leaders on straightening holding every chance despite tight run 150M out and only to be denied narrowly.

Near the 150 Metres shifted in and made contact with COPPER CORE when improving past that runner. Sent for sampling post-race.

Settled towards rear on rail from moderate start, made gradual headway from the 600M to reach 3L 7th into straight, quickened well inside final 150M to just fail to get up on line.

Ridden to narrow lead well off the rail from the 4 draw before settling 2-wide as joint leader 800M out, held position under pressure early in straight until swamped inside final 150M.

Gradually taken back from a wide barrier to be last with rails run 750M out, improved steadily closer home bend reaching 5L 10th into straight, ran on well to be nearest at finish.

Y L Chung stated that he was given the option of riding the horse in a conservative manner from a wide barrier in the early stages if it did not commence well. He said when a number of runners to his inside showed superior pace he elected to ride the horse in a conservative manner to avoid covering additional ground.

Settled in midfield, fought on steadily without making any serious challenge in home straight.

Bumped shortly after the start. Z Purton stated that his mount lay out making the turn near the 500 Metres and finished the race off only fairly in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.

Clumsy start losing ground, soon recovered to forward of midfield on rail some 3L off the pace in 5th, angled out for a run entering straight but unable to quicken to threaten, hampered and faded 50M out.

Jumped awkwardly and shortly after the start was steadied to avoid METRO POWER which shifted out. Leaving the 100 Metres was steadied to avoid BUNTA BABY (C Y Ho) which shifted out. C Y Ho was advised to exercise more care.

Taken well back early from a wide barrier, ridden forward to reach 9th towards rear inside the 700M remaining 3-wide without cover to straight, fought on steadily without threatening.

From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. L Ferraris stated that after settling back in the field his mount did not travel well and finished the race off only fairly in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Broke well from a wide barrier before gradually taken back to race in last few, fought on steadily from a similar position into straight but never threatening.

Prominent, took up running over 800M out setting a sound pace, held narrow lead until headed about 250M out, folded up quickly.

Jumped awkwardly. Bumped near the 150 Metres. M Chadwick reported that his instructions were to endeavour to have his mount commence well. He said when COPPER CORE was able to jump cleanly it showed superior pace in the early stages and after racing keenly in the lead gave ground in the Home Straight.

Broke well from the widest draw and soon taken well back travelling very wide without cover until the 500M, made some impression from last on rail into home straight, never nearer.

K Teetan reported that in the early stages his mount, when caught wide, was not travelling well. He said for this reason he elected to restrain his mount to obtain a trailing position behind HORSEPOWER. He added after obtaining cover RED ELEGANCE travelled satisfactorily and he was satisfied with the horse’s finishing effort in the Home Straight.

Ridden from moderate start from a wide barrier before settling just worse than midfield, found nothing under pressure in straight.
