Results
Sat towards the rear on the rail, no clear run in the Straight, never seriously tested.
Never better than midfield, kept on same pace under pressure without quickening in straight.
Broke well from a wide barrier before gradually taken back to race in last few, fought on steadily from a similar position into straight but never threatening.
Moderately away, raced behind midfield on outer, no cover for the majority of the race, very wide into straight, failed to close off in straight. (Rider reported that his saddle shifted back on jumping.)
Made contact at start, raced 2 wide better than midfield, bumped near 600M, 2-1/2L back turning in, finished off evenly.

BLUE POINT was owned by Godolphin that trained by Charlie Appleby with 11 wins, 3 seconds and 3 thirds in 20 starts, winning distance from 1000M to 1221M while he competed with another Godolphin’s HARRY ANGEL for most of his racing career. He finished 2nd in G1 Middle Park Stakes at age 2 and made progress continuously along with the gain of age where he was unbeaten in 2019 including G1 Al Quoz Sprint and winning Ascot double of King's Stand Stakes and Diamond Jubilee Stakes, such brilliant record made his as 2019 Cartier Champion sprinter. The colt used to take part in 2018 Chairman Sprint Prize but he ran on disappointedly to finish last. The Godolphin sprint ace commenced stud duties since 2019 and stationed at Darley's Kildangan Stud, Ireland with 25 black type contest winners including 3-times G1 winner ROSALLION, 2024 British Champions Sprint Stakes winner KIND OF BLUE and 2023 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint champion BIG EVS. In 2025, his fee is EUR€ 100,000. BLUE ILLUSION was previously owned by Godolphin and trained by James Cummings in Australia with 1 win, 2 seconds and 2 thirds in 8 starts. He took part in listed Maribyrnong Trial Stakes on his debut but finished 8th out of 9 runners as a favourite, then return to NSW, he battled for his first success until his last overseas attempt in a 1000M event that shared lead early and just won under hard riding of Kerrin McEvoy at Hawkesbury. Godolphin then put him into an online sale and purchased by current owner Mr. Josiah Ma Pok Man at AUD$ 130,000. His dam ALUCINARI won at 1100M and her off-spring won from 1400M to 2100M. The grandson of STREET CRY should be fine to handle 1200M to 1400M and no issue at Happy Valley.
