Prominent and wide without cover while ridden along, quickened well to take charge inside final 150M.

Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. When questioned regarding the improved performance Trainer C Fownes stated that the horse was advantaged by racing at Happy Valley and also with blinkers being applied for the first time. Sent for sampling post-race.

Broke well from a middle barrier, travelled in 2nd 3-wide without cover before gaining 2-wide position onto home bend, held every chance in straight until outsprinted by the winner inside final 150M.

H Bowman stated that after holding an on-pace position his mount did not change its lead leg from the 800 Metres and in the Home Straight was unable to respond to his riding. Trainer C S Shum advised that ETERNAL FORTUNE, which was racing first up tonight, would derive a fitness benefit from its performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Always well back, saved ground on rail into straight, ran home one-paced.

Jumped only fairly and then shortly after the start was crowded by ROBOT LUCKY STAR which shifted out and away from CALIFORNIA BLITZ. Making the turn near the 550 Metres shifted out and was steadied away from DUKE ATREIDES. M F Poon reported that after being crowded shortly after the start his mount did not show sufficient pace to hold a more forward position. He said CASA OF HONOR did not travel well during the event and failed to run on in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
