Ridden to take up running 950M out and rails run 800M out, kicked some 2L clear in front rounding home bend, just held off strong challenges in straight to prevail narrowly.

Shifted in shortly after the start and was bumped. A Badel stated that his instructions were to hold an on-pace position preferably with cover. He said when caught wide in the early stages he elected to allow POWER KOEPP to stride forward to lead the event to avoid covering additional ground. Trainer M Newnham confirmed the instructions issued. Sent for sampling post-race.

Broke well to lead on rail, soon headed by eventual winner over 900M out, trailed over 2L back when tempo increased over 600M out, switched out to challenge into straight and only to be denied by the narrowest of margins.

Began well from the one draw but soon dropped to last few on rail, commenced run upon straightening and ran on well to be nearest finish.

Always prominent, just over 2L off the pace into straight, fought on steadily without threatening.

Shortly after the start raced tight between JUBILANT WINNER and AMAZING KID which shifted in.

Broke well from the widest barrier but soon taken back to last few wide without cover, one of the widest turning in for home, bumped and unbalanced just inside the 300M, only produced modest late impression under pressure.

From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Near the 300 Metres was bumped heavily by DANCING CLASSICS.

Settled in worse than midfield in 8th, checked and switched for a run 300M out but did not find much until too late 100M out.

Shifted out at the start and was bumped. Near the 300 Metres was checked when disappointed for clear running between HARMONY N BLESSED and SUPER JOY N FUN. In this incident DANCING CLASSICS shifted out and made heavy contact with SUPER JOY N FUN. DANCING CLASSICS was then held up for clear running between the 300 Metres and the 100 Metres.

Settled well back after beginning from a wide barrier, switched wide into home straight, ran on past well-beaten horses and never nearer.

H Bowman stated that the instructions were to go forward. He said after being bumped by DANCING CLASSICS at the start his mount did not show sufficient pace in the early stages to hold a more forward position.

Pressed forward from a wide barrier settling 3-wide without cover in 5th some 3L off the pace, gradually faded under pressure in home straight.

Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Prominent early before niggling along in midfield in 7th on rail, inconvenienced just inside the 600M, saved ground turning in for home but had no more to give in straight.

Apprentice P N Wong was reprimanded in relation to using her whip on a horse that was clearly out of contention. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Trailed the field throughout after slow start, never seen with a chance.

Jumped only fairly and then became unbalanced when it made contact with HAPPY INDEX. Leaving the 1000 Metres was steadied to avoid ACE CHAMPION when racing keenly. In the Home Straight raced greenly and hung in.
