On jumping YOUNG FIGHTER shifted out despite the efforts of its rider, resulting in EXCEED THE WISH and SEA DIAMOND being crowded out onto SUPERB GUY. As a consequence SUPERB GUY was checked and lost ground when badly crowded between SUPREME WINNER and SEA DIAMOND. Between the 250 Metres and the 150 Metres was held up for clear running.

Approaching the 900 Metres was steadied to avoid LEGENDARY IMPACT (H T Mo) which shifted in when not clear. H T Mo was reprimanded. M Chadwick stated the instructions were to hold a midfield position. He said when LIGHTNING ACE commenced well and was caught wide in the early stages he was obliged to continue forward to avoid covering additional ground.

On jumping became unbalanced when crowded onto SEA DIAMOND. Near the 950 Metres was steadied when momentarily crowded between YOUNG FIGHTER and MANYTHANKS FOREVER which shifted in when racing tight to the inside of THE CONCENTRATION. A Atzeni could not offer any explanation for the horse’s performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

When giving ground near the 200 Metres was eased when crowded between PERIDOT and YOUNG FIGHTER. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. Apprentice H Y Yuen stated that in the Home Straight her mount failed to respond and was disappointing. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
