When questioned regarding his riding and the reason his mount raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event with the early stages being run outside of standard time H T Mo stated that the instructions were to hold a position where comfortable and attempt to obtain cover. He said from his wide barrier he was caught wide in the early stages and unable to cross runners to his inside. He said whilst there was an opportunity to go forward he was not aware that the pace of the event was being run slowly and for this reason when his horse was in a comfortable rhythm he elected to remain racing without cover. He added that under pressure in the Home Straight CIRCUIT CENTURY responded well to his riding. Whilst the Stewards noted the explanation provided he was advised, wherever possible, he should attempt to obtain a position closer to the rail to avoid covering additional ground.

Bumped shortly after start, tracked leaders, under pressure from halfway to hold position, stayed on steadily.

Jumped only fairly and shortly after the start was steadied when crowded between PRECISION HOPE and MIGHTY STEED which shifted in slightly.

Waited with in rear, under pressure 600m out, pushed along wide into home straight, unable to quicken.

C Y Ho reported that when placed under pressure in the Home Straight his mount did not respond to his riding and was disappointing in its finishing effort. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Shifted in at the start and was bumped. From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Awkward start, chased leader, dropped away quickly from 500m out, soon well held.

Jumped awkwardly. R Kingscote stated that his mount travelled satisfactorily outside the lead but when pressured from the 500 Metres failed to respond to his riding and gave ground in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
