Moderately away from a wide draw, raced prominently on the outside, 1-1/4L back turning in, peaked early in straight, weakened final 150M. (See Racing Incidents.)

Near the 1100 Metres was hampered when taken wider by YOUNG ARROW which shifted out. Sent for sampling post-race.

Bumped start and unbalanced, raced 2 wide better than midfield, 3 lengths back turning in, one-paced in the run home. (See Racing Incidents.)

Jumped only fairly. Over the final 150 Metres lay in and away from MIGHTY COMMANDER and as a result its rider A Atzeni had difficultly fully testing his mount when positioned close to GREATER BAE. Sent for sampling post-race.

Made contact shortly after start, taken back to race 2 wide at rear, 6 lengths back turning in, no clear run early in straight, cleared near 150M, finished off very strongly to take 2nd, nearest finish.

A Badel was fined the sum of $5,000 for using his whip in a manner where the hand holding the whip was above shoulder height inside the 100 Metres.

Crowded start, raced towards rear on the inside, saved ground on turn, made some progress early in straight, peaked 150M, ran on evenly to the line.

Raced ungenerously in the early stages when being shifted across behind runners from a wide barrier. In the middle stages raced keenly and near the 750 Metres was steadied to avoid SUPER JOY N FUN. Lay in in the Home Straight and proved difficult to ride out.

Made contact shortly after start, raced behind midfield on outer, bumped near 450M, very wide into straight, finished off evenly. (See Racing Incidents.)

From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Near the 150 Metres was shifted to the outside of EVERSTAR to continue into clear running.

Taken back from the widest draw, raced at tail, 6 to 7 lengths back turning in, taken wide in straight and made good progress to be nearest on line.

Began only fairly from gate 1, raced in midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, closed off well to take a place.

H Bowman was found guilty of a breach of Rule 100(2) in that he failed to ride TRIUMPHANT MORE, 7th placegetter, out to the end of the race to the satisfaction of the Stewards. For this breach of the Rule, H Bowman was fined the sum of $10,000.

Bumped start, sent forward to take the lead, led by 1-1/4L turning in, kept on well early in straight, peaked and headed 150M, weakened final 50M.

Shifted out at start and made contact, raced 2 wide towards rear, angled out and made contact near 450M, no clear run until approaching final 100M, made no progress thereafter.

H Bentley could offer no excuse for the horse’s disappointing performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Jumped with them, raced in midfield on the outside, no cover for the majority of the race, 4 lengths back turning in, made some progress in straight.

M F Poon reported that throughout the event his mount was reluctant to race in amongst other horses. He said in the Home Straight MY DAY MY WAY was reluctant to proceed into a run between SPICY GOLD and BUNDLE OF CHARM between the 200 Metres and the 100 Metres. Over the concluding stages could not be ridden out to the finish when racing tight to the inside of BUNDLE OF CHARM. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.

Bumped start, tracked leaders on the inside, easy run to turn, took the lead 150M, kept on well and scored.

Jumped only fairly. Shortly after the start was steadied when crowded between GREATER BAE and YOUNG ARROW. Over the final 200 Metres was held up when disappointed for clear running to the inside of SPICY GOLD.

Began smartly, raced 2 wide slightly behind midfield, there to turn, peaked early in straight, weakened and eased thereafter.

Shifted in at the start, made contact with EVERSTAR and became unbalanced. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event and raced keenly in the middle stages. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
