Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. K C Leung pleaded guilty to a careless riding charge for causing interference near the 1200 Metres (see BEAUTY CRESCENT). Sent for sampling post-race. K C Leung was warned in relation to using his whip in a manner where the hand holding the whip was above shoulder height near the 200 Metres.

Moderately away, raced 2 wide in midfield, there to turn, made some progress early in straight, no extra final 150M.

Jumped well, raced 2 wide better than midfield, there to turn, no clear run early in straight, cleared 300M, ran on evenly to 150M, weakened gradually final 100M.

Bumped shortly after the start. After being crossed by DROMBEG BANNER near the 1000 Metres commenced to race keenly and got its head up when being steadied to avoid DROMBEG BANNER (H Doyle). H Doyle was advised to ensure that she is sufficiently clear when shifting ground.

Taken back from gate 13, raced 3 wide with cover behind midfield, a bit closer on turn, made some progress early in straight, peaked 150M, ran on evenly to the line.

Bumped at the start. Between the 350 Metres and the 250 Metres was held up for clear running.

Jumped awkwardly and lost ground, raced behind midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, kept on evenly in straight.

Lay in in the Home Straight, resulting in its rider L Ferraris changing his whip through to his right hand passing the 150 Metres. Trainer F C Lor confirmed that the intention was for the horse to hold a more forward position, but it settled further back in the field after jumping awkwardly and losing ground.

Began well from the widest draw, races slightly better than midfield on the outside, no cover in the middle stages, kept on evenly early in straight, weakened gradually approaching final 100M. (See Racing Incidents.)

Over the concluding stages could not be ridden out when racing in restricted room between PUBLIC ATTENTION which shifted out slightly and AERIS NOVA which shifted in slightly.

Slightly slow out, raced 2 wide behind midfield, 3 wide after passing 700M, 4 lengths back turning in, made good progress in straight to take a place.

Near the 900 Metres got its head up when being steadied away from BEAUTY ETERNAL.

Began well from gate 1, raced slightly better than midfield on the inside, dropped towards rear 600M, 5 lengths back turning in, peaked early in straight, weakened final 300M.

In the early stages raced keenly and near the 1200 Metres was steadied to avoid VICTOR THE WINNER.

Jumped well, raced prominently on the inside early, allowed rival to cross near 900M, sat right behind the leader on turn, showed no response early in straight, weakened final furlong. (See Racing Incidents.)

K C Leung (AERIS NOVA) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that near the 1200 Metres he allowed his mount to shift in when not clear of BEAUTY CRESCENT, resulting in BEAUTY CRESCENT being checked to avoid AERIS NOVA, shifting in and crowding the running of BEAUTY ETERNAL which was also checked. K C Leung was suspended from riding in races for one Hong Kong raceday to be conducted on Tuesday, 23 December 2025 at Happy Valley. In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 2 and the consequences grade 2 and also considered his very good race riding record. Approaching the 900 Metres, when racing keenly, blundered when being steadied away from AERIS NOVA. Y L Chung stated that the intention was to hold a more forward position but after commencing only fairly his mount settled further back in the field than intended and raced keenly throughout the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Taken back from gate 12, raced at rear, 6 lengths or so back turning in, no clear run early in straight, found daylight 150M, finished off well to take 2nd.

Shortly after the start became unbalanced when it made contact with PUBLIC ATTENTION. Checked near the 1200 Metres. Near the 900 Metres got its head up when being steadied away from BEAUTY CRESCENT. Near the 400 Metres was steadied to avoid BEAUTY CRESCENT (Y L Chung) which shifted out and away from YOUNG CHAMPION when that runner shifted out. Whilst the Stewards were satisfied that Jockey Chung had made some effort to prevent his mount from shifting out, he was reprimanded and advised that in similar circumstances he should make a greater effort to avoid causing interference. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
