Jumped only fairly. K C Leung reported that his mount did not appreciate racing in amongst other horses and did not respond to his riding in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer”.

On jumping became unbalanced when bumped by CHARITY TOGETHER which shifted in abruptly. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have bled from both nostrils. Before being allowed to race again, ILLUMINOUS will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
