KITTEN’S JOY is the homebred of Ken and Sarah Ramsey at Kentucky. He was trained by Dale Romans with 9 wins and 4 seconds in 14 starts, winning distance from 1600M to 2400M where he landed G1 Secretariat Stakes under Jerry Bailey and Joe Hirsch Turf Classic Stakes with John Velazquez on board, also 1st runner up in Breeders' Cup Turf at age 3. The 2004 Eclipse Champion Turf Male only raced twice at age 4 that landed G2 Firecracker Handicap (now as Wise Dan Stakes) and 2nd in Arlington Million Stakes which denied by POWERSCOURT. The colt retired from racing due to left knee injuries and commenced stud duties since 2006 at Ramsey with more than 120 black type contest winners including 2015 USA Champion Turf Male BIG BLUE KITTEN, Godolphin’s smart stayer HAWKBILL and 2018 Cartier Horse Of The Year ROARING LION. KITTEN’S JOY, the champion stallion of United States and Canada in 2013, has been passed away in 2022 at age 21 due to heart attack. SUPER GOLDENDRAGON was sold at HKD$ 2.5 million in 2025 Hong Kong International Sale where he finished 200M in 11.46s during the breeze up run. His sire KITTEN’S JOY was a brilliant turf runner in United States and became an extraordinary stallion while TOP ACE made his HK debut in Hong Kong Classic Cup and won once over 1800M at Happy Valley. His half-brother NORTH COAST collected 2 win,1 second and 1 third in 5 attempts including the success in G3 and 5th in G1 National Stakes this year as 2yo.
