Taken back after the start, settled at the back 7-8Ls off the pace, still plenty to do 400M, finished off well making good progress to take 4th close home
Sat at the rear, made some late ground.
Jumped awkwardly and lost ground, raced towards rear on the stands' side, hard ridden from 300M but showed no response, weakened thereafter. (See Racing Incidents.)
Bumped shortly after start, raced better than midfield but trapped 3 wide, travelled keenly, moved closer after passing 700M, no cover throughout, made some progress early in straight, peaked 100M, ran on evenly to the line.
Jumped well from a wide draw, sent forward to take the lead, led by 1-1/4L turning in, kept on well in straight but unable to hold off the first two final 50M.

The best run is winning a G3 1200M contest. He stationed in New Zealand since 2011 with 36 black type contests winners. G1 Diamond Stakes winner DAL CIELO, three NZ G1 winners including SHADOWS CAST, BONHAM and SANTA MONICA, also filly ROCH ‘N’ HORSE who won 2022 Newmarket Handicap and Darley Champion Sprint (VRC Sprint Classic) and LITTLE BROSE who lifted 2023 Blue Diamond Stakes are the representatives. His service fee in 2025 is NZD$ 60,000. CHEERFUL WONGCHOY was trained by Alex Oliveira in New Zealand and took part in 2 barrier trials where he sat handy early and ran on to win an 850M section (15th Apr 2025) when asked late on good going, then sat handy early, quickened along widest at turn and ran on under hard riding to win an 1100M trial (9th May 2025) on soft going. Dam family found former Caulfield Cup and Caulfield Stakes winner DESCARADO.
