Began well from gate 10, raced in 2nd early, sat right behind the leader after passing 650M, saved ground on turn, showed very good response in straight, took the lead 50M, headed close home. (See Racing Incidents.)

Near the 600 Metres made contact with GIMME FIVE due to both runners shifting ground. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Bumped shortly after start, taken back to race at tail, 7 lengths or so back, very wide turning in, stumbled near 350M, made no impression in straight. (See Racing Incidents.)

Slightly slow out and bumped, raced behind midfield on the outside early, moved a bit closer after entering the back straight, peaked near 400M, weakened early in straight.

In the early stages raced keenly when being steadied to obtain a position with cover behind GIMME FIVE. DAN ATTACK continued to race keenly throughout the middle stages. Noted to be lame in its left front leg after the race. Before being allowed to race again, DAN ATTACK will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Sent for sampling post-race.

Jumped well from a wide draw, sent forward to take the lead, led by 1-1/4L turning in, kept on well in straight but unable to hold off the first two final 50M.

Bumped start and unbalanced, raced in midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, angled out early in straight, finished off very strongly to score by a narrow margin.

Bumped shortly after start, taken back to race towards rear on the outside, very wide into straight, finished off very strongly to be nearest on line.

Jumped awkwardly. M L Yeung stated that from barrier 1 he was asked to hold an on-pace position to take advantage of the inside barrier.

Began well from the widest draw, raced prominently but trapped 3 wide, 2 wide from 700M, 1-1/4L back turning in, kept on evenly in straight.

C Y Ho reported that from his wide barrier he was obliged to make use of the horse in the early stages to race outside the leader CHEERFUL WONGCHOY. He added as a consequence his mount was unable to finish the race off in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Taken back to race 2 wide behind midfield, angled out 350M, made good progress in straight to be nearest on line.

Slow to begin. Near the 100 Metres was steadied when disappointed for clear running between JOLLY COMPANION and KWAI CHUNG TALENTS. CELESTIAL STRIDER was then shifted to the inside of KWAI CHUNG TALENTS but was unable to improve when KWAI CHUNG TALENTS shifted in. As a consequence CELESTIAL STRIDER was not able to be ridden out to the finish of the event.

Average to begin, raced towards rear on the inside, saved ground on turn, one-paced in the run home.

Near the 1100 Metres GIMME FIVE shifted in and away from DAN ATTACK and made contact with FORTUNE SUPERNOVA. K C Leung stated that his momentum was impeded on the Home Turn when held up behind GIMME FIVE. He added that in the Home Straight once in clear running FORTUNE SUPERNOVA finished the race off only fairly. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Bumped start, raced better than midfield on the inside, 2 wide on turn, peaked early in straight, weakened thereafter. (Blood in trachea.) (See Racing Incidents.)

Lay in near the 1100 Metres and was bumped. Near the 600 Metres made contact with ICONICAL due to both runners shifting ground. K Teetan stated that the instructions were to lead the event. He said in the early stages he elected to hold a position with cover. He added GIMME FIVE was not comfortable racing in amongst other horses and performs best when able to dictate from in front. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have sustained a small abrasion to its right front leg. Before being allowed to race again, GIMME FIVE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
