Sent for sampling post-race.

Out in line, raced 3 wide behind midfield, carried wider after passing 700M, 4 to 5 lengths back turning in, showed some response early in straight, weakened gradually final 150M.

Between the 450 Metres and the 350 Metres was held up for clear running when being shifted to the outside of CAN’T GO WONG. Sent for sampling post-race.

Taken back from gate 13, raced at rear on the outside, 7 lengths or so back, very wide into straight, showed no response early in straight, eased final furlong. (Bled.)

Incident Report
Slow to begin. Held up for clear running between the 500 Metres and the 350 Metres when it improved into a narrow run between ROMANTIC FANTASY and HAILTOTHEVICTORS.

Jumped well from gate 12, sent forward to take the lead, enjoyed the easy lead in the middle stage, kicked clear early in straight, kept on very well to the line and scored.

Between the 450 Metres and the 300 Metres was held up for clear running behind NORTHERN BEAST. L Hewitson was warned in relation to using his whip in a manner where the hand holding the whip was above shoulder height on one occasion near the 100 Metres.

Bumped shortly after start, raced 2 wide towards rear, 6 lengths or so back, angled out 500M, made no progress in straight.

Incident Report
M Chadwick was reprimanded for using the whip on consecutive occasions in 3 consecutive strides near the 150 Metres.

Shifted out shortly after start and bumped, positioned 4 lengths behind the leader on the inside, saved ground on turn, no clear run early in straight, cleared 200M, closed off well to take a place, no threat to the first two.

Jumped only fairly. Over the concluding stages could not be ridden out when held up behind ORIENTAL SMOKE.

Moderately away, raced 2 wide behind midfield, difficult to settle in the early stages, 5 lengths back turning in, made no impression in straight. (See Racing Incidents.)

Bumped near the 550 Metres. After the event Apprentice E C W Wong stated that from a wide barrier he was instructed to ride his mount in a conservative manner in the early stages. Trainer P F Yiu confirmed the instructions and said he issued those instructions as the horse ran well when ridden in a similar manner at its last start on 16 July 2025. He added that, in his view, FLOOF is better suited over the 1600 Metres.

Moderately away from the widest draw, raced better than midfield but trapped wide, moved a bit closer after passing 1000M, 2nd on turn, 2 wide, peaked early in straight, weakened gradually final 100M.

Stood flat-footed as the start was effected and lost ground. A warning was placed on the barrier manners of FOREVER FOLKS. Near the 550 Metres shifted out and made contact with FLOOF.

Out with rest, raced 2 wide in midfield, 4 lengths back turning in, peaked early in straight, weakened final furlong.

Near the 300 Metres was eased to avoid FLOOF (Apprentice E C W Wong) which shifted in when not clear. Apprentice Wong was advised to exercise more care.

Bumped shortly after start, positioned 3 lengths behind the leader on the inside, saved ground on turn, peaked early in straight, kept on same pace to the line.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Shifted in at start and made contact, positioned better than midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, kept on well in straight to take 2nd without threatening the winner.

Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. After the event A Badel reported that his mount may not have appreciated the "Good to Firm” track conditions. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
