Taken back from the widest draw, raced at tail, commenced move after passing 800M, 3 lengths or so back on turn, made good progress in straight to take a place without threatening. (See Racing Incidents.)

Approaching the 1000 Metres was steadied when crowded by COLOURFUL KING which was taken in by TOMODACHI KOKOROE (L Ferraris) which shifted in. Whist the Stewards accepted that Jockey Ferraris had made some attempt to prevent his mount from shifting in he was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances. Held up making the Home Turn. On straightening raced tight between HARMONY N BLESSED and STELLAR EXPRESS when obtaining a run between those horses. Sent for sampling post-race.

Slightly slow out and made contact, raced towards rear on the outside, commenced move 800M, 2 lengths or so back on turn, finished off strongly to score. (See Racing Incidents.)

Began well from gate 1, raced prominently on the inside, allowed rival to cross 1400M, 2 wide from 1100M, took the lead 600M, led by 3/4L turning in, kept on well early in straight, peaked and headed 100M, weakened late.

Shortly after the start raced tight to the inside of GUSTOSISIMO which shifted in after bumping with TOMODACHI KOKOROE.

Made contact at start, raced 2 wide slightly better than midfield early, dropped to midfield after entering the back straight, bumped near 450M, 3 lengths back turning in, closed off well to take 2nd without threatening the winner.

Slightly slow out and bumped, raced behind midfield on the inside, 5 lengths back turning in, made some progress early in straight, no clear run final 100M.

Bumped on jumping. After the event Z Purton reported that his mount raced too keenly throughout the early and middle stages and refused to settle. He added this was the reason why HORSEPOWER did not run on when placed under pressure in the Home Straight. Trainer F C Lor concurred with the views offered by Jockey Purton and added that the horse had prepared well for tonight’s race when it performed to his satisfaction in a barrier trial on 22 May 2025 over 1200 Metres. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.

Shifted in at start and bumped, sent forward to take the lead, found rail near 1400M, led by 3/4L in the middle stages, headed and dropped towards rear 600M, hampered near 500M, eased thereafter.

On jumping was crowded between HORSEPOWER and COLOURFUL KING, both of which shifted ground.

Made contact at start, raced better than midfield on the inside, saved ground to turn, no clear run early in straight, kept on same pace thereafter.

Shifted out at start, raced 2 wide behind midfield, moved closer after entering the back straight, positioned 3 wide, a length or so back on turn, showed some response early in straight, peaked 150M, weakened close home.

Shifted in at the start and was bumped. After the event B Avdulla stated that he was obliged to make use of his mount in the early stages to cross to the lead. He added in the Home Straight STELLAR EXPRESS did not respond to his riding and, in his opinion, is better suited over the 1000 Metres straight at Sha Tin. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
