Moderately away, raced 3 wide with cover behind midfield, similar position on turn, peaked early in straight, weakened thereafter. (Bled.) (Lame right front leg next day.)

Jumped only fairly and then bumped with AHREN which shifted out slightly. In the Home Straight hung in and proved difficult to ride out when racing greenly. Sent for sampling post-race.

Bumped shortly after start, sent forward to race prominently, took the lead near 1050M, challenged by rival from 500M, kept on well early in straight, peaked and headed approaching 200M, weakened final 100M.

Shifted out at the start and made contact with CROSSBORDERPEGASUS. Near the 500 Metres was bumped by BIENVENUE and as a result shifted out. Sent for sampling post-race.

Near the 200 Metres was eased when momentarily crowded between BLAZING BEAM and PHOENIX LIGHT which shifted out slightly. After the event, L Hewitson could offer no explanation for his mount’s disappointing performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
