Jumped well from gate 12, sent forward to race prominently on the inside, allowed rival to cross near 800M, sat right behind the leader on turn, no clear run in straight, eased final 100M.

Jumped awkwardly and lost ground. Sent for sampling post-race. <17/2/2025 Additional Veterinary Report>The Veterinary Surgeon reported that BILLIONAIRE SECRET was found to have sustained an injury to its left front fetlock on the morning after racing. Before being allowed to race again, BILLIONAIRE SECRET will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Jumped with them, positioned 3 wide in midfield, no cover from 800M, carried wider 550M, made some progress early in straight, peaked on run 150M, weakened gradually close home.

Began smartly, positioned 2 wide better than midfield, angled out 550M, hit the front 300M, kept on very well to the line and scored.

After the event, B Avdulla reported that from a wide barrier he was instructed to ride his mount in a positive manner in the early stages. He said as a consequence he was able to obtain an on-pace position behind SOARING BRONCO.

Taken back from gate 10, raced 3 wide with cover towards rear, commenced move 500M, very wide into straight, made good progress in the run home.

Near the 700 Metres commenced to race keenly when HAPPY HERO improved to its outside and as a result was steadied to avoid BEAUTY ALLIANCE.

Began well from a wide draw, sent forward to race prominently, 2 wide, took the lead approaching 1200M, found rail near 800M, shared lead with rival on turn, peaked and headed 300M, weakened final 200M. (See Racing Incidents.)

For some distance after the 300 Metres was held up for clear running when being shifted to the outside of SOARING BRONCO.

Bumped start, raced 2 wide at rear, there to turn, showed limited response early in straight, weakened inside final furlong.

After the event, M F Poon stated that after going forward and racing outside of CHATER GOLD he had expected that runner to continue to improve to the lead. He said when CHATER GOLD remained racing to the outside of CERVIN, SOARING BRONCO was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event and as a consequence finished the race off only fairly. Sent for sampling post-race.

Bumped on jumping, raced 2 wide slightly behind midfield, there to turn, no clear run early in straight, made good progress thereafter to take 2nd, no threat to the winner.

Shifted in shortly after the start, resulting in its rider having to correct his mount. After the event, K Teetan could offer no explanation for his mount’s disappointing performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Began well from the widest draw, raced prominently, 3 wide, slightly taken back after passing 1200M, 1 out 1 back from 900M, peaked early in straight, weakened final furlong.

When questioned regarding his riding along the Back Straight and the reason he shifted away from the rail, A Badel stated that after riding his mount along in the early stages he was unable to hold a more forward position. He said when the early stages of the event was run inside of standard time he was reluctant to remain racing on the rail as he felt the leaders may give ground and for this reason he elected to shift out and race three wide following HAKKA RADIANCE. He added that this move was also influenced by the fact that HAPPY HERO has performed well when making an early move from the back of the field. He further stated that from the 800 Metres he shifted to the outside of HAKKA RADIANCE where his mount commenced to improve into the event behind DEVILDOM, but in the Home Straight HAPPY HERO did not respond to his riding. After considering his explanation, the Stewards found the tactics adopted by Jockey Badel were reasonable in the circumstances. Trainer M Newnham confirmed the instructions issued and expressed satisfaction with the manner in which Jockey Badel rode the horse. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Moderately away, raced in midfield on the outside, travelled keenly in the early stages, no cover for the majority of the race, peaked 500M, weakened early in straight.

Noted to have blood in the mouth at the Start, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race. After the event, M Chadwick stated that it was not his intention to lead but when a number of runners to his outside did not cross he was obliged to lead the event. He added CERVIN was not suited by racing in this position and gave ground under pressure in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Bumped start, raced better than midfield on the outside, moved closer after passing 1000M, shared lead on turn, peaked and headed 300M, weakened inside final furlong.

After the event, K De Melo stated that after electing to go forward his mount was obliged to race very wide and without cover when unable to cross runners to its inside. He added after passing the winning post his mount made a respiratory noise. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of DEVILDOM, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, DEVILDOM will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
