Moderately away from the widest draw, raced in midfield on the outside, moved a bit closer after passing 750M, 2 lengths or so back turning in, finished off well to take 2nd, always just held.

Crowded shortly after start, raced at rear, 8 lengths back in the middle stages, commenced move 550M, very wide into straight, made no progress in the run home.

Near the 1000 Metres MAJESTIC KNIGHT was awkwardly placed close to the heels of BOTTOMUPTOGETHER which maintained its position away from the rail. As a result, MAJESTIC KNIGHT shifted out, making contact with HARMONY N BLESSED, taking HARMONY N BLESSED wider, resulting in FAST NETWORK being steadied to avoid HARMONY N BLESSED. Near the 750 Metres was steadied to avoid WUNDERBAR which shifted in.

Began fairly and made contact, raced prominently but 3 wide early, 2 wide from 900M, challenged the leader turning in, took the lead early in straight, peaked and headed 300M, weakened final furlong. (See Racing Incidents.)

After the event, Z Purton stated that his mount was obliged to race wide, however, obtained cover approaching the first turn. He said in the Home Straight his mount responded only fairly to his riding. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.

Bumped shortly after start, raced 2 wide behind midfield, angled out 500M, 4 to 5 lengths back turning in, not enough room early in straight, made minor progress thereafter.

Shortly after the start shifted in, made contact with MAJESTIC KNIGHT and became unbalanced. A short distance later SING DRAGON was then steadied when crowded between HARMONY N BLESSED which shifted in and MAJESTIC KNIGHT which raced tight to the outside of BOTTOMUPTOGETHER which lay out.

Bumped shortly after start, tracked leaders on the inside, saved ground on turn, no clear run early in straight, cleared after passing 150M, ran on evenly to the line.

On jumping bumped with CALL ME GLORIOUS and blundered. Between the 450 Metres and the 300 Metres was held up for clear running.

Jumped well from a wide draw, sent forward to race prominently, took the lead 1150M, challenged by rival turning in, peaked and headed early in straight, weakened final furlong. (See Racing Incidents.)

After the event, K C Leung stated that with the pace of the event being run inside of standard time his mount was under pressure throughout the race and as a result did not finish the race off. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Taken back from gate 13, raced 3 wide with cover behind midfield, a bit closer on turn, closed off well to take a place without threatening the first two.

Near the 1000 Metres was steadied, shifted out and was bumped.

Began only fairly, raced towards rear on the inside, saved ground on turn, no clear run until final 100M, kept on same pace to the line.

Hung out throughout the event and as a result made the Home Turn wide. In this incident, SUPERB CAPITALIST was then eased down from the event. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. The racing manners and performance of SUPERB CAPITALIST, which finished tailed out, were considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, SUPERB CAPITALIST will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial around a bend in Hong Kong and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Out with rest, raced 2 wide towards rear, angled out 600M, 4-1/2L back turning in, kept on same pace in straight.

Was retired from the event on the Home Turn. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have bled from both nostrils. Before being allowed to race again, BEAUTY CHARGE will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
