Began only fairly, raced better than midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, kept on evenly early in straight, weakened final 100M.

On jumping shifted out and made heavy contact with CHEAHA. Sent for sampling post-race.

Made contact at start, sent forward to take the lead, led by 1-1/2L turning in, kept on well early in straight, peaked and headed 100M, weakened gradually close home, finished 2nd.

Approaching the 1000 Metres was steadied to avoid COPARTNER FLEET which shifted in. Approaching the 200 Metres was hampered when taken wider by CHEAHA which shifted out and away from CAPTAIN LINK. J Orman stated that the intention was to hold a more forward position. He said when BROWNNEEDSFURTHER jumped only fairly it settled further back in the field than what had been intended. Noted to have lost its left front plate after the race. Sent for sampling post-race.

Commenced well, raced 2 wide slightly behind midfield, 6 lengths or so back turning in, failed to make any progress in straight.

Bumped near the 600 Metres. Sent for sampling post-race.

Out with rest, raced in midfield on the outside, 4 to 5 lengths back turning in, closed off well to make frame without threatening.

Moderately away, raced behind midfield on outer, no cover for the majority of the race, very wide into straight, failed to close off in straight. (Rider reported that his saddle shifted back on jumping.)

Began smartly from gate 1, raced in 2nd, 1-1/2L back turning in, showed very good response in straight, took the lead approaching 100M, kept on well to the line and scored.

From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Between the 200 Metres and the 150 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running.

Crowded start, raced 2 wide towards rear, angled out 350M, 7 to 8 lengths back turning in, made some progress in straight. (See Racing Incidents.)

On jumping made contact with STORMY KNIGHT due to both runners shifting ground. Shortly after the start was then crowded by CAPTAIN LINK which shifted out. Crowded near the 1000 Metres by CAPTAIN LINK. Held up for clear running on the Home Turn. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Jumped well from gate 11, raced better than midfield on the outside, 3Ls back turning in, finished off evenly.

Shortly after the start was eased when crowded by COPARTNER FLEET which shifted in despite the efforts of its rider. Near the 600 Metres was bumped by GEORGIAN SIGMA which shifted out slightly. M Chadwick stated that his instructions were to go forward. He said after commencing only fairly he rode his mount along in accordance with his instructions but was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Jumped with them, raced in midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, finished off well to take a place.

Lay in in the early stages of the Home Straight and near the 150 Metres shifted in. H Bowman pleaded guilty to a careless riding charge for causing interference near the 150 Metres (see STORMY KNIGHT). A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Away with them, raced behind midfield on the inside, 7 lengths or so back turning in, made some headway in straight.

On jumping made contact with FREE PONY due to both runners shifting ground. H Bowman (COPARTNER FLEET) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that near the 150 Metres he allowed his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of STORMY KNIGHT, resulting in STORMY KNIGHT being checked and taken in onto LEGEND STAR, also resulting in LEGEND STAR having to be checked. H Bowman was suspended from riding in races for one Hong Kong raceday to be conducted on Wednesday, 10 June 2026 at Happy Valley. In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 2 and the consequences grade 2 and also considered his excellent race riding record.

Taken back from a wide draw, raced at rear on the outside, still 9 Ls back turning in, made good progress in straight without threatening.

Checked near the 150 Metres. L Hewitson stated that his mount failed to finish the race off in the Home Straight but could offer no excuse for the performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
