DOUBTLAND was trained by Michael, Wayne & John Hawkes with 3 wins and 1 third in 8 starts, winning distance 1100M and 1200M. He remained unbeaten on his first two attempts including the success in 1100M G3 Kindergarten Stakes under Brenton Avdulla, then lifted G2 Danehill Stakes with William Pike in the saddle at Flemington and 4th in G1 Ascot Vale Stakes. After two failures on his return in Autumn, the son of NOT A SINGLE DOUBT commenced stud duties since 2021 at Widden Stud and searching for his first black type contest winner. His fee in 2025 is AUD$ 13,200. HEROIC VANGUARD was purchased by trainer Amy & Ash Yargi at AUD$ 4,750 in 2024 Inglis March (Early) Online Sale. He took part in 3 jump-outs and a barrier trial over 1000M (10th Apr 2025) where he led early and led 3Ls at one stage on the straight but headed late by GETTA GOOD FEELLING who landed two G2 races and 2nd runner up in G1 Thousand Guineas. Former HK Derby hero ELEGANT FASHION is his second dam and some of his half-brothers and sisters could handle middle distance events. The chestnut gelding should be most suited in mile events and fine at Happy Valley.
