Began well, raced behind midfield on the stands' side, 3 to 4 lengths back in the middle stages, passed some tired runners final 400M.

Near the 650 Metres became unbalanced when bumped by ALWAYS FLUKE which shifted in and away from ORIENTAL SURPRISE. A Badel was fined the sum of $7,500 for returning 3 lbs overweight. Sent for sampling post-race.

Made contact shortly after start, positioned 2 to 3 lengths behind the leader in the middle of the track, finished off well to take 2nd without threatening the winner.

Near the 650 Metres shifted in and away from ORIENTAL SURPRISE and was bumped. Between the 350 Metres and the 250 Metres had some difficulty obtaining clear running when being shifted to the outside of MAJESTIC DELIGHT. Sent for sampling post-race.

Bumped start, raced towards rear on the stands' side, made no impression final 400M.

Jumped awkwardly. Passing the 100 Metres was awkwardly placed close to the heels of MAJESTIC DELIGHT. C L Chau reported that his mount hung in in the Home Straight and as a result proved difficult to ride out.

Began awkwardly and bumped, raced behind midfield on the middle track, hard ridden approaching 300M, kept on same pace to the line.

Jumped well, raced prominently on the stands' side, 3/4L back at 400M, took the lead approaching final 100M, kept on well to the line and scored.

M Chadwick advised that he had been instructed to hold a midfield position with cover. He said he was obliged to settle slightly further back than anticipated in order to ensure that his mount was able to obtain cover.

Jumped with them, raced behind midfield, nearer to the middle track, failed to make any progress final 400M.

J Orman advised that he had been instructed to take up a forward position. He said after obtaining cover near the 800 Metres his mount was then taken wider making the Home Turn when MAJESTIC DELIGHT shifted out. He added that after being eased to avoid MAJESTIC DELIGHT near the 400 Metres when that runner shifted out his mount then failed to finish the race off in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Made contact shortly after start, raced better than midfield, 2 away from the stands' rail, dropped to midfield in the middle stages, hard ridden after passing 400M but showed no response, weakened thereafter.

L Hewitson stated that his mount enjoyed a good run behind the lead during the event and failed to respond to his riding in the Home Straight. He added the only explanation he could offer was that the horse might be better suited racing at Happy Valley. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Made contact shortly after start, raced in 3rd, 2-3/4L back at 400M, hard ridden after passing 400M but only showed limited response, weakened final furlong.
