Bumped on jumping, raced behind midfield on the outside, 3 to 4 lengths back turning in, made good progress in straight to make frame.

Jumped only fairly and shortly after the start lost ground when badly crowded between PRESTIGE WIN which shifted in despite the efforts of its rider and GOLDEN CHAMP which was taken out by YOUNG EMPEROR. After the race an endoscopic examination was conducted on CIRCUIT CHAMPION at the request of Trainer C S Shum. The Veterinary Surgeon said this examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, CIRCUIT CHAMPION will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Sent for sampling post-race.

Bumped on jumping, trapped very wide early, a length or so back, 2 wide from 900M, same margin back on turn, peaked early in straight, weakened final furlong. (See Racing Incidents.)

Slightly slow out, raced 3 wide slightly behind midfield, moved closer after passing 1200M, no cover from 900M, 1 to 2 lengths back on turn, hard ridden approaching 300M but only showed limited response, weakened gradually final 50M.

Began only fairly, raced at rear on the outside, 5 lengths back turning in, made very good progress in straight to take 2nd, nearest on line.

Near the 100 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when being shifted to the inside of KA YING ATTACK.

Began well from gate 1, raced in midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, kept on well in straight to take a place without threatening.

D B McMonagle stated that the horse enjoyed a comfortable run during the event but finished the race off only fairly when under pressure in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Kicked a rail leaving the Parade Ring, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race. Z Purton stated that after improving into the event on the Home Turn his mount finished the race off only fairly in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Bumped start, raced 2 wide behind midfield, steadied near 800M, 6 to 7 lengths back turning in, failed to close off in straight.

Shortly after the start became unbalanced when crowded between CIRCUIT CHAMPION and YOUNG EMPEROR which shifted out.

Jumped well, raced prominently, took the lead near 1250M, led by a length in the middle stages, kept on well in straight, shifted out abruptly 100M, always doing enough.
