Four wide in rear of mid-field without cover, ridden along 400m out, stayed on but unable to reach leaders.
Crowded at start, raced very wide in rear, under pressure 600m out, ran on well to close on leaders.
Bumped on jumping, raced 3 wide with cover behind midfield, 4 lengths or so back turning in, closed off well to take a place.
Bumped on jumping, raced behind midfield on the outside, 3 to 4 lengths back turning in, made good progress in straight to make frame.
Commenced well, sent forward to take the lead, shared lead turning in, peaked and headed 300M, weakened inside final furlong. (Blood in trachea.)

STARSPANGLEDBANNER was trained by Leon Corstens in Australia, and landed G1 Caulfield Guineas and Oakleigh Plate with Daniel Nikolic on board. He was purchased by Coolmore and under Aidan O'Brien’s handling afterwards. After settled in Ireland, STARSPANGLEDBANNER claimed Golden Jubilee Stakes and July Cup with Johnny Murtagh in the saddle and made him became a champion sprinter in both European and Australia. He joined the Coolmore’s stallion roster after retirement but he was sent to second tier stud farm due to his low pregnancy rate. However, his next generations brought some surprise to Coolmore with victories among Royal Ascot races and STARSPANGLEDBANNER made his return. As of now, 59 runners won the black type contests including four-time G1 winner STATE OF REST. CALIFORNIA SPANGLE and BEAUTY ETERNAL are his representatives in HK. His service fee is EUR€ 60,000 in 2026. CIRCUIT CHAMPION was sold at HKD$ 5.4 million in 2025 Hong Kong International Sale which is the highest record of the sale. His dam is half-sister of Prix Morny winner THE WOW SIGNAL who sired by STARSPANGLEDBANNER, his full-sister BREEGE is winner of G2 York Stakes and G3 Princess Elizabeth Stakes while half-brother ILLUMINATED won at 2200M. He was found left fore cannon bone injury and left fore humeral bone injury in 2024 and right pelvis injury in 2025. The bay gelding should be most suited over mile or upper in distance and fine on soft going.
