Noted to have blood in the mouth on arrival at the Start. Was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to start. Jumped only fairly. When questioned M Guyon stated that after settling back in the field he placed his mount under pressure near the 500 Metres to improve. He said as he did so SEA CHARIOT commenced to hang in and when EVERYONE’S GALLOP, which was racing in advance of him, shifted out this resulted in SEA CHARIOT improving to the inside of the heels of that runner. He said as a consequence and due to the racing manners of his horse he elected to shift to the inside of I EXCELLE to obtain clear running and then was held up for clear running between the 300 Metres and the 200 Metres behind YOUNG LEGACY before finishing the race off well thereafter. The Stewards found the tactics adopted by Jockey Guyon were reasonable in the circumstances.

Fast into stride, showed good speed to take the lead, led by 1/2L turning in, peaked and headed 200M, weakened approaching final 100M.

On jumping shifted out abruptly and was then steadied when it made contact with PATCH OF TIME.

Out with rest, taken back to race towards rear on the outside, 5-1/4L back turning in, made very good progress in straight to take a place, no threat to the first two.

No report. <19/1/2026 Additional Veterinary Report> The Veterinary Surgeon reported that HERE COMES PLUTUS was lame in its left front leg on the morning after racing. Before being allowed to race again, HERE COMES PLUTUS will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Bumped start, raced 2 wide, 4 lengths or so back, 3 wide on turn, finished off evenly. (Jockey dropped his left rein passing 100M.)

Bumped on jumping. M Chadwick stated that after obtaining a position outside the leader in the early stages RUBY SAILING did not respond to his riding in the Home Straight and may have been disadvantaged by the middle stages being run inside of standard time. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported.

Average to begin, raced in midfield on the outside, 3 lengths or so back, similar position on turn, peaked early in straight, weakened final furlong. (See Racing Incidents.) (Lame right front leg.)

Between the 400 Metres and the 350 Metres was held up for clear running behind YOUNG LEGACY. When questioned A Atzeni stated that his mount bounded on jumping and lost ground at the start. He said approaching the first turn near the 900 Metres, after being crossed by YOUNG LEGACY, I EXCELLE commenced to race keenly and when being steadied away from YOUNG LEGACY did not respond to his efforts to restrain and as a result he was obliged to check his mount to avoid YOUNG LEGACY which resulted in I EXCELLE becoming unbalanced and losing ground.

Bumped start, raced 2 wide behind midfield, 3 wide after entering the back straight, made contact 900M, hard ridden approaching 550M, very wide into straight, finished off very strongly to score.

Bumped on jumping and became unbalanced. Shortly after YOUNG LEGACY then raced tight between COOL BOY and RUBY SAILING.

Bumped on the hindquarters on jumping, raced 2 wide slightly better than midfield, similar position on turn, kept on well early in straight, peaked approaching 100M, weakened thereafter.

Blundered on jumping, raced in 2nd, 2 wide, allowed rival to cross near 1100M, 1 out 1 back on turn, kept on well early in straight, peaked 200M, ran on evenly to the line.

A Badel stated that his mount did not show sufficient pace to cross runners to his inside which resulted in it being obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event before giving ground in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, BOWSER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Jumped with them, raced better than midfield on the outside, 2nd after entering the back straight, 1/2L back turning in, hit the front 200M, kept on well but unable to hold off the winner final 100M.

Jumped only fairly, raced behind midfield on the inside, 2 wide turning in, unable to obtain clear run until approaching final 150M, made minor progress thereafter.

Bumped on the hindquarters on jumping. L Hewitson stated that his instructions were to go forward. He said although PATCH OF TIME commenced well, after travelling a short distance his mount did not show sufficient pace to cross runners to his inside and as a result he elected to obtain a trailing position. He added after being placed under pressure making the Home Turn PATCH OF TIME did not respond to his riding in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be lame in its right hind leg. The performance of PATCH OF TIME, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, PATCH OF TIME will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
