Jumped well, raced prominently, took the lead near 1250M, led by a length in the middle stages, kept on well in straight, shifted out abruptly 100M, always doing enough.

Incident Report
Over the final 100 Metres shifted out abruptly, resulting in its rider having to stop riding and straighten. A warning was placed on the racing manners of MEGA MASTERMIND. Sent for sampling post-race.

Began only fairly, raced at rear on the outside, 5 lengths back turning in, made very good progress in straight to take 2nd, nearest on line.

Leaving the 800 Metres was steadied to avoid GRAND TURBO when that runner was checked. Sent for sampling post-race.

Began well from gate 1, raced in midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, kept on well in straight to take a place without threatening.

Bumped on jumping, raced behind midfield on the outside, 3 to 4 lengths back turning in, made good progress in straight to make frame.

Bumped at the start. Near the 350 Metres blundered and approaching the 300 Metres lay in when having difficulty obtaining clear running when positioned close to ROBOT STAR.

Average to begin, raced 3 wide in midfield, checked near 1050M, 4 wide from 500M, kept on well until checked approaching 50M. (See Racing Incidents.)

Leaving the 1100 Metres ROBOT STAR and FORZA TORO made contact due to both runners shifting ground slightly. A short distance later ROBOT STAR then commenced to race keenly and was checked when crowded between LUCKY SECRET which gave ground and then shifted out when taken wider by WINNING DIAMOND (M L Yeung) and FORZA TORO (H Bowman) which shifted in slightly. H Bowman was reprimanded and advised to ensure he leaves sufficient racing room to runners to his inside. M L Yeung was advised to exercise more care. Near the 50 Metres was checked to avoid MEGA MASTERMIND (B Avdulla) which shifted out abruptly before being corrected by its rider. B Avdulla was severely reprimanded and advised in similar circumstances he would be expected to stop riding and straighten his mounts sooner than what he did on this occasion. Sent for sampling post-race.

Slightly slow out, raced 3 wide slightly behind midfield, moved closer after passing 1200M, no cover from 900M, 1 to 2 lengths back on turn, hard ridden approaching 300M but only showed limited response, weakened gradually final 50M.

Jumped only fairly and then was crowded by WINNING DIAMOND which shifted out. Leaving the 1100 Metres FORZA TORO and ROBOT STAR made contact due to both runners shifting ground slightly. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Began awkwardly and bumped, raced towards rear on the inside, 6 lengths back turning in, made good progress in straight without threatening.

Jumped awkwardly and shortly after the start became unbalanced when bumped by GRAND TURBO.

Shifted out at start and bumped, raced behind midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, angled out early in straight, finished off evenly.

Out with rest, raced 3 wide better than midfield early, 2 wide from 1050M, 2 to 3 lengths back turning in, one-paced in the run home.

Leaving the 1100 Metres made contact with BUCEPHALAS due to both runners shifting ground. After being crossed by BUCEPHALAS approaching the 800 Metres raced keenly and was steadied to avoid BUCEPHALAS. Over the concluding stages had difficulty obtaining clear running when positioned close to ROBOT STAR when that runner was checked.

Jumped with them, took the early lead, headed 1250M, positioned 1-1/2L behind the leader in the middle stages, kept on well early in straight, peaked 200M, weakened thereafter. (See Racing Incidents.)

M L Yeung stated that he was instructed to settle the horse where comfortable. He added that when his mount jumped well and the early stages of the race were run slightly outside of standard time he was able to hold an on-pace position without having to pressure his mount to do so.

Bumped on jumping, trapped very wide early, a length or so back, 2 wide from 900M, same margin back on turn, peaked early in straight, weakened final furlong. (See Racing Incidents.)

Bumped at the start. Leaving the 1100 Metres made contact with MATSU VICTOR due to both runners shifting ground. K C Leung stated that after holding an on-pace position his mount gave ground noticeably near the 200 Metres but could offer no excuse for the performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Jumped well from the widest draw, showed no early speed, taken back to race at tail, 7 lengths or so back turning in, kept on same pace in straight. (See Racing Incidents.)

D B McMonagle stated that with the early stages of the event being run slightly outside of standard time his mount finished the race off in a one-paced manner when it found it difficult to make up ground from back in the field. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Bumped start, raced 2 wide behind midfield, steadied near 800M, 6 to 7 lengths back turning in, failed to close off in straight.

On jumping was bumped by THE ABSOLUTE which shifted out. As a result GRAND TURBO shifted out and made contact with FIGHTING MACHINE. Near the 800 Metres was checked to avoid LUCKY SECRET when racing tight to the inside of LUCKY SECRET which gave ground. R Kingscote was warned in relation to using his whip on a horse which was clearly out of contention.

Jumped well, raced 2 wide better than midfield early, steadied near 1050M, 2 wide in midfield on turn, peaked early in straight, weakened thereafter. (See Racing Incidents.)

Leaving the 1100 Metres was steadied when crowded between WINNING DIAMOND which shifted out slightly and MATSU VICTOR (C Y Ho) which, after making contact with BUCEPHALAS, then shifted in and away from that runner. C Y Ho was advised to exercise more care. Near the 800 Metres, when racing keenly, lost ground when being checked to avoid MATSU VICTOR. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
