Bumped start, raced 2 wide towards rear early, moved closer in the middle stages, peaked early in straight, weakened thereafter. (See Racing Incidents.)

Incident Report
Shifted in on jumping, resulting in its rider A Badel having to correct his mount. From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. From the 800 Metres raced very wide and without cover. A Badel was severely reprimanded in relation to using his whip in a manner where the hand holding the whip was above shoulder height on one occasion near the 200 Metres. Sent for sampling post-race.

Bumped shortly after start, raced better than midfield but trapped 3 wide, travelled keenly, moved closer after passing 700M, no cover throughout, made some progress early in straight, peaked 100M, ran on evenly to the line.

Incident Report
Near the 1300 Metres was crowded. In the Home Straight lay in and proved difficult to ride out. Over the concluding stages K C Leung was unable to use his whip when positioned close to WINNING DATA. Near the 50 Metres STAR ELEGANCE and WINNING DATA made slight contact due to both runners shifting ground. K C Leung reported that his mount was slow to begin and as a consequence settled further back in the field than he had intended. Sent for sampling post-race.

Began smartly from gate 11, raced prominently, 2 wide, there to turn, kept on well in straight to take 2nd.

Near the 1300 Metres was crowded for room between THE AZURE and TO INFINITY which shifted in whilst being corrected by its rider J Orman. Near the 50 Metres WINNING DATA and STAR ELEGANCE made slight contact due to both runners shifting ground. Approaching the winning post raced tight between GOLDEN BRILLIANT and STAR ELEGANCE which shifted in when it continued to lay in.

Jumped only fairly, positioned a length behind the leader on the inside, saved ground on turn, hard ridden early in straight, checked near 200M, peaked 100M, weakened thereafter.

Incident Report
Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. Sent for sampling post-race.

Began well, showed no early speed, raced at rear on the outside, 8 lengths or so back turning in, failed to make any progress in straight. (See Racing Incidents.)

Shifted out on jumping and made contact with STELLAR SWIFT.

Jumped well from the widest draw, sent forward to take the lead, led by 1/4L turning in, kept on well early in straight, peaked and headed 100M, stayed on evenly to take a place.

Bumped at the start. Near the 1300 Metres was crowded and made contact with the running rail.

Fast into stride, raced in midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, showed limited response early in straight, weakened gradually final 100M.

From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Near the 1300 Metres shifted in and made contact with the running rail. When being shifted out to avoid the running rail FORTUNE STAR made contact with STAR ELEGANCE. Near the 300 Metres was briefly held up for clear running behind THE AZURE.

Bumped start, raced towards rear on the inside, 6 lengths or so back turning in, made some progress in straight.

Bumped at the start. H Bentley stated that his mount came under pressure soon after entering the Home Straight and finished the race off only fairly thereafter. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer” 'which had previously been reported.

Bumped shortly after start, raced 2 wide better than midfield, 2-1/2L back turning in, kept on same pace in straight.

Near the 1300 Metres shifted in and made contact with WINNING DATA and then shifted out abruptly when being corrected by its rider.

Taken back from gate 10, raced at rear throughout, never a factor.

L Hewitson could offer no explanation for his horse’s failure to run on in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Moderately away, raced slightly behind midfield on the inside, 2 wide from 450M, wider turning in, made minor progress in the run home.

Jumped awkwardly, shifted out abruptly and made contact with THE AZURE. Raced keenly when positioned outside the lead in the early stages.

Average to begin, raced slightly behind midfield on the outside, 3-1/2L back turning in, showed very good response in straight, took the lead 100M, kept on very well to the line.

Near the 1300 Metres was hampered when taken wider by TO INFINITY which shifted out. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
