On jumping became unbalanced when crowded between TANG HEART and ACE CHAMPION, both of which shifted ground. Approaching the 400 Metres shifted out when being steadied to avoid MOTOR. A Badel pleaded guilty to a careless riding charge for causing interference near the 100 Metres (see MOTOR).

A Badel (POWER KOEPP) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that near the 100 Metres he allowed his mount to shift in when not clear of MOTOR, resulting in MOTOR having to be checked to avoid POWER KOEPP. A Badel was suspended from riding in races for one Hong Kong raceday to be conducted on Sunday, 20 September 2026 at Sha Tin. In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 2 and the consequences grade 2 and also considered his very good race riding record. K Teetan stated that his mount raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event and then gave ground in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
