Jumped only fairly. Shortly after the start was checked when crowded between SUPER MASTERMIND and JUBILATION FOR ALL, both of which shifted ground.

On jumping was bumped heavily on the hindquarters and became unbalanced, raced in midfield on the middle track, hard ridden approaching 350M, took the lead 150M, kept on very well to the line, won by 2 lengths.

From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Between the 350 Metres and the 200 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running.

Began well from gate 13, raced behind midfield on the stands' side, made good progress final 400M to take a place, no threat to the first two.

Near the 500 Metres was hampered and taken wider by GIANT BALLON. Lay in under pressure in the Home Straight. Near the 200 Metres M Guyon dropped his whip. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Bumped on jumping. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm. Before being allowed to race again, MONTA FRUTTA will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. <23/2/2026 Additional Veterinary Reports>After the race, MONTA FRUTTA was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm. MONTA FRUTTA was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer A S Cruz this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its right front leg. As previously advised, MONTA FRUTTA will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination before being allowed to race again.
