B Avdulla stated that his mount failed to respond to his riding in the Home Straight and was disappointing. Trainer D A Hayes stated that, in his opinion, the horse was required to work hard in the early stages to cross runners to its inside and as a result was unable to finish the race off. He added that the horse would be given a short let-up before returning to racing with the intention to ride it in a more conservative manner in the early stages. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.
