Began well, raced 3 wide with cover in midfield, 3 lengths back turning in, showed very good response in straight, took the lead 200M, ran on very well to the line.

Slow to begin. From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Apprentice E C W Wong pleaded guilty to a careless riding charge for causing interference near the 300 Metres (see CASA LEGEND). Inside the final 100 Metres shifted out under pressure whilst being ridden along, inconveniencing GALE SAGA. Apprentice E C W Wong explained that his instructions were to take up a more forward position but was left with no alternative than to ride his mount back after missing the start. Sent for sampling post-race.

Jumped with them, raced 2 wide behind midfield, angled out 600M, very wide turning in, made good progress early in straight, peaked on run 100M, ran on evenly to the line.

Near the 200 Metres K Teetan had his whip knocked from his grasp by the whip of Apprentice E C W Wong (WINNING MACHINE). Inconvenienced after passing the 100 Metres by WINNING MACHINE which shifted out.

Out with rest, raced slightly behind midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, no clear run until approaching 150M, finished off well to make frame without threatening.

Shortly after the start got its head up. Held up after passing the 400 Metres until inside the 200 Metres.

Away with them, positioned 2 to 3 lengths behind the leader on rail, saved ground on turn, no clear run early in straight, cleared near 250M, ran on evenly to the line.

Was unable to improve its position from the 500 Metres and was then held up for clear running from the 400 Metres until inside the 300 Metres.

C L Chau was severely reprimanded in relation to using his whip in a manner where the hand holding the whip was above shoulder height on three occasions between the 200 Metres and the 150 Metres.

Slightly slow out, taken back to race behind midfield on the inside, angled out after passing 600M, 4 lengths back turning in, no clear run early in straight, inconvenienced near 250M, made no progress thereafter.

Slow to begin. From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Apprentice E C W Wong (WINNING MACHINE) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that near the 300 Metres he permitted his mount to shift out when insufficiently clear of CASA LEGEND, resulting in CASA LEGEND having to be checked and in doing so having to avoid the heels of GALE SAGA. Apprentice Wong was suspended from riding in races for a period to commence on Wednesday, 11 March 2026 and to expire on Thursday, 19 March 2026 on which day he may resume race riding (3 Hong Kong racedays). In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 2 and the consequences grade 2 and also considered his poor race riding record.

Began well from gate 12, raced 3 wide better than midfield, no cover throughout, peaked early in straight, weakened final furlong.

Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. M L Yeung was warned for using his whip forward of the saddle in a forehand manner on one occasion near the 250 Metres.

L Ferraris reported that his instructions were to take up a forward position if not lead. Trainer B Crawford confirmed the instructions issued as GOOD PROSPECT failed to quicken when ridden back at its last start, therefore they decided to go forward today. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
