Bumped start, raced 2 wide better than midfield early, found rail 900M, 2 wide from 500M, showed good response in straight, hit the front 100M, kept on well to hold off the challengers. (See Racing Incidents.)
Incident Report
Jumped only fairly. Leaving the 300 Metres was hampered when taken wider by THE ALL ROUNDER. Sent for sampling post-race.
Bumped start, raced better than midfield on the outside, 2 lengths or so back turning in, peaked early in straight, weakened thereafter.
Incident Report
Bumped on jumping. Held up for clear running between the 350 Metres and the 200 Metres. Near the 200 Metres was shifted to the inside of BETTER AND BETTER to obtain clear running. At the 150 Metres was steadied when momentarily crowded by BETTER AND BETTER which shifted in when giving ground.
Average to begin, raced 2 wide in midfield, angled out 500M, made good progress early in straight, peaked on run 100M, ran on evenly to the line.
Incident Report
Held up for clear running between the 400 Metres and the 250 Metres.
Taken back to race towards rear on the outside, very wide turning in, made good progress in straight to take a place, nearest on line.
Incident Report
Jumped only fairly and then was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Held up for clear running approaching the 300 Metres. When being shifted to the outside of WIN SPEED leaving the 300 Metres GOLDEN DREAM (L Ferraris) shifted out and made contact with GOLDEN FORTUNE, resulting in that runner becoming unbalanced when taken out onto WINNING DIAMOND. As a consequence WINNING DIAMOND and RAGING RAPIDS made contact, resulting in both runners becoming unbalanced. L Ferraris was advised to exercise more care.
Began only fairly and bumped, raced in midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, showed good response early in straight, peaked on run 100M, weakened gradually close home.
Incident Report
Shifted out at the start and was bumped.
Moderately away, sent forward to take the lead, travelled well to turn, peaked and headed 400M, weakened final 300M. (See Racing Incidents.)
Incident Report

Incident Report
Noted to have lost its right front plate after the race.
Jumped well from gate 9, raced in 2nd, 2 wide, challenged the leader turning in, took the lead 400M, peaked and headed 100M, weakened gradually close home.
Incident Report
Held up for clear running between the 450 Metres and the 250 Metres. When being shifted to the outside of PROUD BOX approaching the 200 Metres was then steadied when crowded between PROUD BOX and SUNDAY’S SERENADE which was shifting to the inside of BETTER AND BETTER. In this incident SEA CHARIOT hung in and proved reluctant to proceed between PROUD BOX and SUNDAY’S SERENADE and near the 150 Metres was then steadied when SUNDAY’S SERENADE was taken in slightly by BETTER AND BETTER which shifted in when giving ground. As a result SEA CHARIOT did not obtain clear running over the final 200 Metres.
Moderately away from gate 13, raced behind midfield on the outside, 4 to 5 lengths back turning in, peaked early in straight, weakened final 150M.
Incident Report
Shortly after the start was crowded between BETTER AND BETTER and PROUD BOX which shifted out. Near the 900 Metres was steadied to avoid WIN SPEED (K Teetan) which shifted in when not clear. K Teetan was advised to exercise more care. Bumped after the 300 Metres and became unbalanced.
Began well from a wide draw, raced 3 wide in midfield, no cover in the middle stages, wider turning in, weakened early in straight. (Roarer.) (See Racing Incidents.)
Incident Report
Leaving the 300 Metres was hampered when taken wider by RAGING RAPIDS. Trainer P C Ng confirmed that from the outside barrier he had instructed C L Chau to ride the horse in a conservative manner in the early stages.
Began well, raced 2 wide behind midfield, angled out approaching 500M, no clear run early in straight, blundered badly near 350M, weakened thereafter. (See Racing Incidents.)
Incident Report
Shortly after the start became unbalanced when bumped by GOLDEN FORTUNE. C Y Ho reported that after racing outside the lead, when placed under pressure in the Home Straight, once his mount improved to the front it hung out and did not respond to his riding before giving ground in the Home Straight. Trainer F C Lor stated that, in his opinion, BETTER AND BETTER races best when able to obtain cover. He added that with the early and middle stages being run inside of standard time he felt this was one of the reasons why the horse was not able to finish the race off in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of BETTER AND BETTER was considered disappointing as compared to its previous race starts. Before being allowed to race again, BETTER AND BETTER will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Sent for sampling post-race.
Began well, raced behind midfield on the inside, angled out approaching 500M, no clear run early in straight, finished off strongly to take 2nd, just beaten by a narrow margin.
Incident Report

Taken back from the widest draw, raced at rear on the inside, angled out 600M, very wide turning in, made good progress in straight to make frame.
Incident Report
M L Yeung stated that he was instructed to ride the horse where comfortable. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
