Jumped well, positioned 2 wide slightly better than midfield, angled out 350M, finished off well to take 2nd without threatening the winner.

Incident Report
On jumping became unbalanced when crowded between ONE LOVE and JUICY DRAGON, both of which shifted ground. Sent for sampling post-race.

Began only fairly from a wide draw, raced behind midfield on the outside, 4 to 5 lengths back turning in, showed limited response early in straight, made contact near 200M, eased thereafter. (See Racing Incidents.)

Incident Report
Shortly after the start was bumped by CIRCUIT DUFFY, became unbalanced, shifted out and made contact with ONE LOVE which shifted in. After being shifted to the inside of CALIFORNIA BLITZ near the 250 Metres then lay in for some distance thereafter. Sent for sampling post-race.

Began well from a wide draw, positioned 2 wide, 1-1/2L back, carried wider turning in, showed very good response in straight, hit the front 150M, kept on strongly to the line, won comfortably.

From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. L Ferraris was reprimanded for using the whip on consecutive occasions in 2 consecutive strides near the 150 Metres.

Average to begin, raced towards rear on the inside, saved ground on turn, showed limited response early in straight, weakened gradually final 100M.

Incident Report
Jumped only fairly. When commencing to finish the race off well approaching the 50 Metres was eased and shifted to the outside of CALIFORNIA BLITZ to continue into clear running.

Bumped start, raced 3 wide in midfield, no cover throughout, very wide turning in, peaked early in straight, weakened gradually final 100M.

Shifted in at the start, was bumped and became unbalanced. Near the 50 Metres became unbalanced when it was crowded between ACE POWER and LUNAR DASH which shifted out. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Slightly slow out and crowded, raced 2 wide towards rear, 5 lengths or so back turning in, made good progress in straight to make frame.

Began awkwardly and lost ground, raced at tail, 7 lengths or so back on turn, angled out early in straight, made contact near 200M, made very good progress final 100M to be nearest on line.

Z Purton stated that near the 150 Metres his mount became unbalanced when it shifted out and away from CALIFORNIA BLITZ. He added that LUNAR DASH then continued to shift out over the final 100 Metres and near the 50 Metres made contact with JUICY DRAGON as he corrected his mount. Trainer M Newnham stated that LUNAR DASH may not have been suited by being ridden in a forward position tonight and at its next start he will instruct the rider to ride the horse in a more conservative manner. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Jumped with them, raced slightly behind midfield on the inside, 3 lengths or so back, there to turn, made some progress in straight.

On jumping shifted out and made contact with CALIFORNIA BLITZ. A short distance later ONE LOVE shifted in and made contact with KNOW AT HEART. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Bumped shortly after start, raced in midfield on the inside, saved ground throughout, kept on well in straight to take a place without threatening.

From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. In the middle stages raced keenly when awkwardly positioned between I AM BACK and ACE POWER.

Began well from the widest draw, sent forward to race prominently on the outside, took the lead near 800M, led by a length turning in, peaked and headed 150M, weakened final 100M.

On jumping shifted in and made contact with SUPER UNIVERSAL. A short distance later CIRCUIT DUFFY shifted out and became unbalanced when it made contact with KNOW AT HEART.

Began smartly from gate 9, took the early lead, headed near 800M, a length back on turn, showed some response early in straight, peaked on run 150M, weakened gradually final 100M.

Incident Report
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have bled from both nostrils. Before being allowed to race again, SUPER UNIVERSAL will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
