DEEP FIELD, the son of NORTHERN METEOR, was trained by Michael, Wayne & John Hawkes with a record of 5 wins, 1 second and 1 third in 8 starts while he got first five wins in a row until placing 3rd in G1 Lightning Stakes. Although he is only a G2 winner, he is welcomed by the breeders since his sire passed away and he is known as precocious with great speed. 42 runners of him won the black type contests including 2021 Hong Kong Sprint winner SKY FIELD, two times South African G1 winner AL MUTHANA, G1 Oakleigh Plate champion PORTLAND SKY and Hong Kong's second Triple Crown winner VOYAGE BUBBLE. I AM BACK was trained by Matthew Smith in Australia and took part in 4 barrier trials where he settled midfield throughout for 6th in a 740M section (30th Aug 2024) on good going, led early but flat late for 3rd in an 800M trial (17th Sept 2024) on good going, then led all the way to win an 800M trial (12th May 2025) on soft going and led early and kept on for 2nd up rail in an 815M trial (26th May 2025) with sheepskin cheek pieces on heavy ground. His dam TOUCH OF MINK recorded 3 wins from 1400M to 2025M and 3rd in G2 Moonee Valley Fillies Classic while Australian Champion mare MAKYBE DIVA is family member. The bay gelding should be most suited over mile or upper in distance and no issue on dirt.
