Bumped on the first turn. Z Purton reported that his mount settled back in the field and finished the race off in a satisfactory manner. He added that, in his opinion, CHEAHA is better suited by being stepped up in distance for its next race start. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, CHEAHA will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Began only fairly from gate 1, showed no early speed, raced towards rear on the inside, saved ground on turn, showed limited response early in straight, no clear run 200M to 100M, ran on evenly to the line.

Bumped shortly after the start. A Badel reported that the intention was to hold an on-pace position but not lead. He said in the early stages ALSONSO, which was racing in blinkers for the first time, raced keenly and as a result led the event. He added that he attributed tonight’s disappointing performance to the fact that ALSONSO was not suited by racing in the lead. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Jumped only fairly and was then bumped by GOKO WIN which shifted out. Making the first turn shifted out and made contact with CHEAHA. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported.
