Results
Jumped only fairly, trapped 4 wide, slightly better than midfield, showed some response early in straight, peaked 150M, weakened gradually thereafter.
Jumped on terms, settled just off the pace, had every chance from 400M, run ended mid-straight and weakened.
Crowded on jumping, sat towards rear, ran on evenly.
Slightly slow out and crowded, showed no early speed, raced at rear on the inside, saved ground on turn, made minor progress in straight. (See Racing Incidents.)
Jumped only fairly, positioned 1-3/4L behind the leader, 2 away from the stands' rail, commenced move after passing 350M, took the lead 250M, headed 150M, kept on well to take 2nd.
Out with rest, taken back to race towards rear on the outside, 5-1/4L back turning in, made very good progress in straight to take a place, no threat to the first two.
Taken back from the widest draw, raced at rear on the inside, angled out 600M, very wide turning in, made good progress in straight to make frame.

CALYX was owned by Khalid Abdullah that trained by John Gosden with 3 wins and1 second in 4 starts, winning distance at 1200M. The son of KINGMAN remained unbeaten at age 2 in 2 starts including denied ADVERTISE in G2 Coventry Stakes under Frankie Dettori during Royal Ascot week, then he landed G3 Pavilion Stakes (now as Commonwealth Cup Trial Stakes) as a favourite on his 3YO first attempt and finished 2nd in G2 Sandy Lane Stakes that behind HELLO YOUMZAIN. However, he has to withdraw from Commonwealth Cup and retired from racing due to injury. The colt entered stud in 2020 at Coolmore, Ireland with 9 black type contest winners. The colt has been euthanasia due to acute foot injury in May, 2025 that passed away at age 9. POWER PATCH was purchased by HK owner Mr. Yeung Kin Man at NZD$ 375,000 in 2024 NZB Ready To Run Sale where he finished 200M in 10.24s during the breeze up run. He was trained by Catherine Cameron in New Zealand and took part in 2 barrier trials where he sat handy early and won with something in hand in a 950M synthetic trial (15th Apr 2025), then won an 800M section (29th Apr 2025) by racing handy and under a hold late on heavy ground. His training process is similar to SPEEDY PATCH that both trained by Catherine Cameron in New Zealand and now under Manfred Man’s yard. Being a grandson of CHOISIR, the chestnut should be a speedy runner that could handle 1200M to 1600M distance.
