He made his way to Australia on his last attempt and finished 3rd in 1200M G3 Star Kingdom Stakes on heavy ground. GOLD PATCH was purchased by HK owner Mr. Yeung Kin Man at NZD$ 250,000 in 2024 NZB Ready To Run Sale where he finished 200M in 10.50s during the breeze up run. He was trained by Catherine Cameron in New Zealand and took part in 2 barrier trials where he led all the way in an 850M trial (27th May 2025) on heavy ground, then settled under restraint and ran on well along mid-track to win an 800M section (9th Jun 2025) under a hold on soft going.
