Taken back from gate 9, raced behind midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, kept on evenly in straight.

Bumped on jumping, raced at rear on the outside, 7 lengths or so back turning in, made good progress in straight to make frame without threatening.

A Badel was fined the sum of $5,000 for breaching Rule 100(3)(ii)(f) in that he used his whip in a manner where the hand holding the whip was above shoulder height on two occasions over the concluding stages. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. Sent for sampling post-race.

Slightly slow out, raced 2 wide in midfield, 5 lengths back turning in, peaked early in straight, kept on same pace to the line.

Leaving the 800 Metres was steadied to avoid COLOURFUL KNIGHT. A short distance later TIN FOOK shifted out and made contact with THE RED HARE. Held up making the Home Turn and in the early stages of the Home Straight. M F Poon pleaded guilty to a careless riding charge for causing interference over the concluding stages (see SUGAR BALL).

Moderately away, raced 2 wide behind midfield, 7 lengths back turning in, failed to make any progress in straight, eased final 150M.

Made contact with the left side of its starting gate on jumping and lost ground. SOLID WIN was then crowded between COLOURFUL KNIGHT and THE RED HARE.

Jumped awkwardly and then shortly after was crowded by SUGAR BALL which shifted out on jumping. Bumped near the 700 Metres. Prior to declaring weighed-in the Stewards gave consideration if there were grounds for a protest/objections on behalf of the 5th placegetter THE RED HARE which was taken wider by TIN FOOK over the concluding stages. When the Stewards were satisfied there were not sufficient grounds to lodge a protest/objection and the connections chose not to, weighed-in was declared on the numbers semaphored by the Judge.

Made contact shortly after start, tracked leaders on the inside, saved ground on turn, kept on well early in straight, peaked 150M, weakened gradually thereafter.

Shifted in shortly after start and made contact, positioned 2 lengths behind the leader, same margin back on turn, finished off evenly.

Shifted out at the start and was bumped. M F Poon (TIN FOOK) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that over the concluding stages he directed his mount to the outside of MASTER OF ALL where there was not sufficient room to do so, resulting in TIN FOOK making contact with THE RED HARE and taking that horse across the running of SUGAR BALL which was checked. M F Poon was suspended from riding in races for a period to commence on Sunday, 2 November 2025 and to expire on Thursday, 6 November 2025 on which day he may resume race riding (2 Hong Kong racedays). In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 2 and the consequences grade 2 and also considered his good race riding record. After the event K C Leung reported that he was unable to ride SUGAR BALL out to the finish of the race due to his mount receiving interference over the concluding stages.

Bumped on jumping, raced at tail, 8 lengths or so back turning in, made some progress early in straight, no clear run final 100M, eased close home.

In the middle stages raced keenly. Approaching the 900 Metres was steadied to avoid IGOR STRAVINSKY. Over the concluding stages was steadied to avoid THE RED HARE when that runner was taken out by TIN FOOK. Sent for sampling post-race.

Moderately away from gate 1, raced in midfield on the inside, angled out approaching 450M, finished off well to take 2nd without threatening the winner.

Jumped only fairly. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Away with them, raced slightly behind midfield on outer, 7 lengths or so back turning in, failed to close off in straight.

D Probert was warned in relation to using his whip in a manner where the hand holding the whip was above shoulder height on one occasion near the 150 Metres.

Average to begin, sent forward to take the lead, led by 1-3/4L turning in, kicked clear early in straight, kept on strongly to the line, easily scored.

The performance of COLOURFUL KNIGHT, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, COLOURFUL KNIGHT will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
