Jumped only fairly, shifted in and made contact with BEAUTY LIVE. For some distance after the 500 Metres was bumped and taken wider by SUPER UNICORN which was being shifted out to obtain clear running. Sent for sampling post-race.

For a short distance near the 350 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when it improved between MATSU VICTOR and SUPER UNICORN which shifted in.

Shifted out shortly after start and made contact, raced better than midfield on the inside, sat right behind the leader turning in, no clear run early in straight, cleared after passing 200M, made no progress thereafter.

Bumped at the start. For some distance after the 500 Metres made contact with ETALON OR as it attempted to shift to the outside of FLAGSHIP WARRIOR. SUPER UNICORN was disappointed for this run near the 400 Metres and then lay in when placed under pressure in the early part of the Home Straight.

Shifted in at start and made contact, sent forward to take the lead, led by a length in the middle stages, peaked and headed early in straight, weakened 300M, eased final 150M. (See Racing Incidents.)

Jumped awkwardly, made contact with the right side of its starting gate and lost ground. Approaching the 600 Metres shifted out to improve and made contact with CALIFORNIA MOXIE.

Made contact at start, raced 3 wide with cover behind midfield, wider turning in, made some progress early in straight, peaked on run 150M, ran on evenly to the line.

Bumped on the hindquarters shortly after the start. From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Approaching the 600 Metres was bumped and taken wider by STAR BROSE which was shifted out to commence a forward move. As a result CALIFORNIA MOXIE was obliged to make the Home Turn wide.

Made contact shortly after start, raced 2 wide better than midfield, 3 wide from 700M, took the lead early in straight, kept on very well to the line and scored.

After the event L Ferraris stated that he had some concern with his mount making the Home Turn when it did not respond to his riding. He said in the Home Straight BRIGHT INHERITANCE was unable to finish the race off. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Jumped only fairly and then was crowded between CALIFORNIA MOXIE and FRANTANCK which shifted out. After the event M Chadwick stated that his mount was reluctant to stretch out when racing in amongst horses on the Home Turn. He said in the Home Straight ARDEN did not respond to his riding and was most disappointing. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of ARDEN, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, ARDEN will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Moderately away, raced 2 wide towards rear, angled out 500M, made little progress early in straight, peaked 150M, ran on evenly thereafter.

Bumped at the start. After the event M F Poon stated that with his mount stepping back up in distance and from a more favourable barrier he was instructed to hold an on-pace position. He said when placed under pressure in the Home Straight his mount did not respond to his riding and gave ground. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm. Before being allowed to race again, BEAUTY LIVE will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
