Jumped only fairly, raced better than midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, no clear run early in straight, cleared 200M, finished off well, led close home.

Taken back from gate 9, raced at tail, 5 lengths or so back, same margin back turning in, made good progress in straight to take a place, no threat to the first two.

Out with rest, raced in midfield on inner, saved ground on turn, showed limited response early in straight, no clear run near 150M, weakened gradually close home.

After travelling a short distance shifted in and made contact with THOUSAND CUPS. Between the 300 Metres and the 200 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when improving into a narrow run between THOUSAND CUPS and CRYSTAL POWERFUL.

Jumped with them, raced 3 wide in midfield, wider turning in, made some progress in straight.

From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Held up for clear running making the Home Turn. Approaching the 300 Metres was then steadied when disappointed for clear running between CRYSTAL POWERFUL and HAPPY UNITED which shifted out. As a result HAPPY BOYS was held up for clear running between the 300 Metres and the 150 Metres.

Away with them, raced 3 wide with cover behind midfield, travelled keenly in the early stages, steadied near 600M, very wide turning in, finished off evenly. (See Racing Incidents.)

Jumped only fairly and then was crowded between HARMONY FIRE and DIVINE MOONLIGHT which shifted out.

Jumped well from a wide draw, took the early lead, headed near 800M, 2nd on turn, 3/4L turning in, peaked early in straight, ran on evenly to the line. (See Racing Incidents.)

After the event H Bentley advised that the intention was to take up a position with cover. He said when he was complying with his instructions in the early stages LEAN MASTER raced keenly and near the 600 Metres was steadied to avoid FORTUNE RACER, resulting in LEAN MASTER shifting out and racing wide and without cover thereafter. Trainer C H Yip confirmed the instructions and said he issued those instructions as LEAN MASTER does not show sufficient pace over 1000 Metres to go forward and lead. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Slightly slow out, raced behind midfield on the inside, 2 wide on turn, unable to obtain clear run until final 100M, made minor progress thereafter.

Bumped shortly after start, sent forward to race prominently, took the lead near 800M, led by 3/4L turning in, kept on well in straight but unable to hold off the winner close home. (Lame right front leg next day morning.)

Near the 600 Metres was steadied to avoid CRYSTAL POWERFUL (A Atzeni) which shifted in when not quite clear. A Atzeni was advised to exercise more care. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
