Crowded start, raced towards rear on the inside, 5 lengths or so back, saved ground throughout, one-paced in the run home. (See Racing Incidents.)

After the 300 Metres was steadied and shifted in to avoid SAVVY TWINKLE. Sent for sampling post-race.

Bumped start and unbalanced, sent forward to take the lead, led by 1/2L turning in, kept on well in straight to hold off the challengers.

Jumped only fairly. In the middle stages raced keenly and for some distance near the 600 Metres was steadied to avoid CONRAD THE GREAT. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Taken back from the widest draw, raced at tail, 6 lengths or so back, very wide into straight, made no impression in the run home.

Bumped on jumping. Near the 300 Metres was checked when disappointed for clear running between MEGA BONUS and LAHORE and as a result made contact with LAHORE. A Badel pleaded guilty to a careless riding charge for causing interference near the 300 Metres (see LAHORE). A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Bumped start, raced 3 wide with no cover, a length or so back, there to turn, showed limited response early in straight, weakened gradually final 100M.

Began well from gate 1, positioned 1-3/4L behind the leader on the inside, same position on turn, finished off well to take 2nd, just beaten by a narrow margin.

In the early stages raced keenly and got its head up. Was left racing wide and without cover from the 800 Metres. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Moderately away, raced 2 wide, 2 lengths or so back, there to turn, peaked early in straight, weakened gradually thereafter.

A Badel (SAVVY TWINKLE) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that near the 300 Metres he endeavoured to obtain a run between LAHORE and MEGA BONUS where there was not sufficient room to do so, resulting in SAVVY TWINKLE making heavy contact with LAHORE which became badly unbalanced and also resulting in SAVVY TWINKLE having to be checked when disappointed for clear running between MEGA BONUS and LAHORE and SAVVY TWINKLE then shifting in across the running of NEVER TOO SOON, resulting in NEVER TOO SOON having to be steadied to avoid SAVVY TWINKLE. A Badel was suspended from riding in races for one Hong Kong raceday to be conducted on Wednesday, 16 July 2025 at Happy Valley. In addition, Jockey Badel was fined $50,000. In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 2 and the consequences grade 2 and also considered his good race riding record. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
