Slow to begin. Between the 450 Metres and the 200 Metres was held up for clear running. Leaving the 50 Metres was shifted to the inside of YOUTH POWER to continue into clear running. Over the concluding stages could not be fully ridden out when it improved quickly behind KINGLY DEMEANOR.

Began well from gate 13, raced slightly behind midfield on the stands' rail, kept on evenly final 400M.

After the event B Avdulla reported that after enjoying a comfortable run during the race his mount commenced to give ground from the 300 Metres and he could offer no explanation for its disappointing performance. Trainer J Size advised that he would now give the horse a let-up having regard to today’s performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. The performance of PING HAI COMET was considered disappointing as compared to its previous race starts. Before being allowed to race again, PING HAI COMET will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Sent for sampling post-race.

Shifted out at start and bumped, sent forward to race prominently, hard ridden approaching 250M, took the lead near 200M, kept on well to the line and scored.

After the event L Ferraris stated that his mount did not travel well during the race and made an abnormal respiratory noise. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Began well from gate 12, raced better than midfield on the stands' side, 2-1/2L back at 400M, finished off strongly to take 2nd.

The performance of MUSANG KING, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, MUSANG KING will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
