Approaching the 250 Metres shifted out and made contact with SAMARKAND when attempting to improve to the outside of KEEFY. As a result LUCKY TOUCH was briefly held up approaching the 200 Metres. Sent for sampling post-race.

Bumped shortly after start, sent forward to take the lead, led by a length on turn, kept on well early in straight, peaked and headed 150M, weakened final 100M.

Approaching the 1400 Metres got its head up when being steadied to allow HIGHLAND RAHY to cross. Approaching the 250 Metres was bumped by LUCKY TOUCH.

Jumped with them, raced in 2nd, 2 wide, travelled keenly in the early stages, a length back on turn, showed good response in straight, took the lead approaching 150M, kept on well but unable to hold off the winner close home.

After the event Apprentice E C W Wong reported that his mount made a respiratory noise during the running of the race. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
